Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FranceThe hut was really hot, because even if there are no windows, the wind doesn't pass through because of the plant roof that hangs. We were there in May which is the hottest period, and there were heat waves at that time so that didn't help. I guess with normal temperature, it's not that hot !
3 nights in a typical bungalow nipa hut. It's an experience to live in a traditional way (but with way more comfort than the locals have). The aircon in the bedroom is appreciated because the opened hut saloon is really hot in May ! We had a fridge, drinking water for free and a kettle with coffee. They changed our garbage bin (which was the first time in our stay in the Visayas). The plants look really nice in the garden. The sea is a 100 meters away from the residence... it's the locals and fishermen access to the sea, not a beach, but it looked beautiful. We rented a scooter for 350php directly to the landlady. I prefer this type of accommodation than big European resorts. The staff was really nice.

United KingdomWall sockets were terrible, the plugs would quite literally fall out, as we had adapters the weight wouldn’t hold so we had to prop the plugs up which was strange.
Good location, beautiful hut.

GermanyThe road near the house was really bumpy. Hard to drive with the scooter. Also the hut was a little small for three people. Dogs outside were very loud at night
Very cozy huts with very friendly staff. It was really easy to rent a scooter there to get to other locations in moalboal. Really clean and a nice location near the sea. Definitely worth the price.

SingaporeThe foam bed was so hot and soft at the end of the day. Not a very pleasant sleep for the 3 nights there in April 2024, compared to the other similar non-a/c huts I've stayed in Cebu.
I like that it was close to our dive shop. Cozy little hut and a private toilet, tho not connected to the room. They have a bar fridge (a rarity considering the price we're paying!), and place to air our clothes/ swimwear. Strong wifi. Could be a distance from food, but we have a rented motor to solve that.

South AfricaEven though they were really nice and friendly, communicating with the boys at reception was difficult as they didn't speak great English. However, the host was always just a phone all away
Great value for money. Aircon was a major bonus.

Really nice house, clean. Really liked that house is near the ocean and that place doesn’t have a lot of tourists. There was a drinking water available. There are signs ro hotel from road.

United StatesThe first staff (male) we met was a tad rude and not very helpful at all. The road going to the place was rough. A little far from town.
The huts we stayed were decent. Basic amenities are provided like A/C, mini fridge, electric kettle, clean towels, hot water ( just wish the water pressure was higher). Breakfast is good but we wish the servings were a little more. The lady owner was very helpful.

SwitzerlandWow, it was for sure a great time i spent in Titanics Nipa hut. I had a whole family room for myself, i had soooo much space. On the terrasse I had a fridge and they provide drinking water and coffe. The garden is so nice to watch with all that plants and there are some beautiful birds. It is simple but absolutely worth the price! I rented a scooter there which broke down one day, but the owner helped me out and got me picked up. She is such a nice and interesting person, and i loved to chat with her. Sure she made my time there even better. From the accommodation you can walk down to the ocean and enjoy the beautiful sunsets, watch the fishermen or swim during high tide. It is located outside the city of Moalboal, so it is calm and relaxing. And if you rent a scooter you will be in town and also on the nearby beaches in no time.

CanadaThe road getting to the place is rough. We thought being a little out of town would mean quieter, but the neighbours had karaoke and club music blasting what seemed like all the time :p no fault of Titanic. (Our next stay was even further out of town and was even louder with music from neighbours).
We really appreciated the attention to detail they put into this beautiful garden home! The little things (that you can't take for granted in Philippines) such as nails in the walls for hanging items, hand soap, even a toothbrush + paste and mini shampoo, mini fridge and our own kettle + water to make coffee. The bed is very comfortable and the garden is stunning with a hammock, they take very good care! High quality bamboo home.

South AfricaNot that we didn’t like it but just be aware the bathroom is separate from the hut but just downstairs. Very clean and a hot shower.
The hut is situated above the main reception area. It is big, there is clean linen and towels. Rose was awesome.

France1) The bathroom is right next to and BELOW the bedroom, with a window that can't be closed completely, so that from the bed you have an almost unobstructed view of the toilet... You'd better feel very comfortable with your partner! For this reason, I wouldn't have stayed here for long. 2) In terms of location, it's a 20-30 minute walk to the center. There are no moto-taxis around, so you'd better like to walk. I recommend that you go by the beach rather than take the big detour by road. 3) The kids "working" at reception were nice but useless. 😂
The beach is just a few steps away, and as soon as you step into the water, you may encounter a turtle. The garden is beautiful, the wooden rooms are lovely... It's just a joy to be here. Gorgeous!

NetherlandsSince there is a lot of green in the area, you can expect insects. There was a big spider (size of my hand) in the bathroom but Eric helped to catch it! It’s true a lovely place, but you can expect animals etc since it’s on the first floor and a bungalow.
Cute lovely garden with a hammock, birds and nice plants. The bungalow was great. Bunk bed, bathroom and good AC. It’s walkable to the town centre. The bungalow had their own router so perfect for online working.

GermanyJust keep in mind to store your food right as there are possible some ants or mouses around. There is a fridge outside, so it’s all safe.
We really enjoyed our stay at this cute, tiny house not for away from Moalboal center and its snorkeling places. The house is very basic, but clean, so it was just right for us to stay here. You will have your own little balcony facing the lovely garden. They provided free water and coffee and the staff will help you when planing trips.

Excellent location near the beach. Very quiet and secured place to stay. The bungalow is made out of 100% bamboo with a high finished work. Really cool. The owner lady was lovely, and helped to sort out a problem we had with booking.com There is also drinking water, a fridge, a water heater ready for you and hot water in the shower. PhilippinesThe aircon was broken during our stay, good thing the house is sorrounded by plants so electric fan is enough to give you a sound sleep. The comfort room has some weird smell, so we just make sure it is closed all the time.
The Nipa Hit is homey and relaxing. This place is away from busy Panagsama, just 10mins tricycle ride. This place os just 3mins away from white beach. Their garden is refreshing as well. They offer snorkling to Moalboal at a reasonable cost. They also offer canyoneering and whale shark viewing package. This place is high recommended if ypu want to enjoy and peaceful environment.
