Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaOn the beach very good food and the people were very nice! A lot of activity around the place kayak in the mangrove snorkeling zip line , market. over all we had an amazing time in sablayan! To arrive to the hotel is all and adventure you have to take a boat to cross the river or go to the bridge and walk 10 to 15 mins

DenmarkInternet connection on Smart is sometimes slow in the area. More time for reading books instead of staying on the phone. ☺️
Beautiful resort situated directly at the beach. The accommodation was in beautiful local huts. The owner and staff were amazing and super accommodating with everything. I live the chill vibe or this place and the fresh coconuts from the garden

Germanygreat food for good prices, nice restaurant. they are welcoming and supporting also guests with less money, we were even allowed to use their kitchen while restaurant cooking was going on (!) . the less pricy huts have a shared toilet and shower which were not too clean, but all in all no problem. relaxed and nice atmosphere

NorwayA bit hard to get to and from the location with a heavy motorbike in combination with street tires, especially on high tide. If you have a bike like that it might be better to park in the city and be picked up by boat 🙂 Staff were super helpful and arranged a boat to the city centre when needed. The beach could and should have been kept more tidy than it is today, in and around the resort it is nice but the main beach is not as nice as it deserves to be.
Very friendly and helpful staff and owners 🏝️🙏 Good food and, great craft beers, very good selection of wine 🍷 Hammocks and sunsets, can you ask for more?

Guillaume and Arlene are great hosts. The food is super good. Their place is right by the beach, which is almost a private beach, ideal to warch

GermanyThe Beach itself is no comparison to that of Pandan Island. You can visit there for a day trip though.
Despite budget pricing very comfortable and clean huts with windows to three sides and good mosquito nets. Restaurant is great place to hang out, to meet fellow travelers or chat with your host who has a motorbike to rent out and helps with organizing trips to APO Reef, Coron or nearby places of interest.

PhilippinesThe sunsets were incredible. The location was incredible. The property was Incredible. The staff were in incredible. for example: we were upgraded from a normal cabin to a deluxe cabin as there weren’t as many guests (a testament to the owners kindness). They also helped us with planning the rest of our journey in the philippines by giving advise and calling local areas to get transport information. They also pour very generous cocktails and are always up for a conversation. 11/10 would recommend if you enjoy relaxing in a hammock on a beach. One thing however there can be a few mosquitoes so bring spray! if you forget they also sell it so no stress.

FranceThis place is a little paradise by the beach. The huts are simple but comfy, the food is really tasty and the hosts are extremely helpful and friendly. Guillaume and Arlene helped us to book ferry tickets, organised a snorkelling tour to apo island and sent us (for a visit) to the Sablayan Prison.

PhilippinesNothing, we liked everything about the place
Just fantastic hosts who were outstanding in warmth, assistance and helping any way they could and did Food menu outstanding and very fairly priced not like some other sablayan accomadation providers who we are really down on for overpriced small portions of amateur cooked food where we have stayed last 4 weeks It’s a bit out of the way but transport earnestly assisted by hosts. Small comfortable cottages in a nice simple beach setting, hosts went out of their way and made it their business to make time for all guests Beach is clean and kept in good order, you don’t have to go out 200 meters to be in 2 foot of water like another All kudos to the owners, we are going back on our return from angeles in 5 days without hesitation and we have stayed at all providers in sablayan. You will NOT be disappointed Thanks for a wonderful and well cared for break

IsraelAs long as you are aware that this is a budget accomodation (e.g no hot water, no a/c and such) and you know what to expect, there are no disadvantages
The location is perfect - right at the beach, with beautiful sunsets. The resort itself has a rustic atmosphere which we really liked. They have pet dogs, a cat and a few chickens and ducks. The vibes are chill and all makes you relxed The food is delicious, with a variety of dishes, and adjustable for vegans! Plus a really good real coffee. All for reasonable price And last but not least - the owners are super nice and helpful..they will help you get there and away, and take care of your every need. All mentioned above comes with an amazing value for the money you pay. So worth it!

PhilippinesOur experience here is beyond words! I couldn't thank them Enough! If we could stay much longer we will definitely GO BACK To this place! Once you confirm your reservation they will email you a very detailed directions to get to their area. They have a lot of back up and alternatives when it comes to transportation, power supply and your daily needs such as tropical fruits and cold drinks. They even let us stay in the bungalow (which is the larger one) without charging anything additional. I am happy to arrange our Pandan Island with them, people from the Island knows them and their boat. They serve delicious food and They will definitely treat you with respect with warm welcome and sweet smiles. THANK YOU Guillaume, Arlene and Yohan.

United KingdomThe owners were so great and friendly and arranged great day trip to Pandan Island and ferry to Coron. Good Internet. Loved the room, basic but very quirky. Food was great and good price. Nice cold beer and good wine. Lots of wildlife. Boat to get across the river was fun. Stars amazing. If you like remote places come here. Relaxing hammocks. Dark sand beach and sea was choppy when we were there. Felt a bit like a homestay and great place to meet other travellers.
