Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PhilippinesWell, the staff in the reception area talks really fast when briefing you about the place and it feels like they want to dismiss you right away after they checked you in. What exactly happened to us is, there were 2 check in counter that time, the one is busy doing something in the computer the other one busy attending to the customer about his massage. So i tried to walk to the other one busy in the computer for check in. But he dismissed me and told me to check in with the other one busy with a customer. So we waited for a good 15 minutes. After she finished with the customer i walked up and say for check in. But she pointed to the guy who just dismissed me. SO THEY WERE POINTING FINGERS WHO WILL ACCOMMODATE ME. Anyway i said 'he just told me to check in with you miss'. This counter staff smirked and accommodated us for check in. Also, this hotel does not have indoor slippers so better bring one if you like.
A lot of people say, it would feel isolated and hard going to the Stations and D'mall but I'd say it's different. Definitely worth the stay in Savoy Newcoast. They provide free shuttle with designated time to and from D'mall. Planning and reservation is the key. Plus the HoHo shuttle also drops you or pick you off from the hotel side entrance. You have privacy on a beach not far from the hotel, the pool area is fun with a bar, the breakfast is superb. Everyone is friendly and really gives you a good mood catering to your needs and answering questions.

United KingdomThere is a problem with condensation in the rooms which the management blames on opening the patio doors when the air con is on, and easily dismisses it as a customer problem. I however do not believe this to be the cause and it needs to be properly addressed..
This hotel is in an area called Newcoast where there are other hotels, shops and restaurants. The sandy beach is a short walk but the hotel provides a shuttle bus service if you want to ride. At breakfast, the staff were welcoming and were happy to bring food to your table,. if you want. The buffet breakfast was one of the best I have had. The pool is huge and there were always places to sit and relax.

Had plenty of options for breakfast. Good size for the gym and the 7/11 convenient store nearby. The daily free shuttle was a bonus. Cold water fountains on all levels. Very private and quiet away from the commotions at station 2.

PhilippinesMy room have this bad smell as you enter, i called the attention of the staff when i dialed "0" but was not attended. I stayed for 4 nights and just ignored it but on my last day i asked the cleaning lady to enter my room so she can tell what i meant by the smell and told her to report it for the sake of the next guest
If you like quiet moments away from the crowd you'll get it here. Staff were all courteous, nothing to comment for the facilities as it is whats expected and they deliver

United KingdomThey never made up the room, even when we left one day at 10am and didn’t get back till maybe 5/6pm and left the “please make up room” button on, they never did it even tho we asked the house keeping on the way out, they still didn’t do it, our friends on the lower floor left at 12 mid day and got back same time and their room had been made up! The 2nd day this also happened. However the staff were lovely and got us toilet roll when we ran out and came to change the bed sheets at 6am when my partner spilled a massive water bottle all over the bed.
Staff were very friendly, everything we needed in the hotel, and they were able to extend our booking by one night which was very reasonably priced.

IndonesiaI love it because it's located in the quieter part of the island, and the shuttle arrangements between Station 1-2-3 were great. Not sure how but I got free (delicious) buffet breakfast for the 1st day which I was grateful for. The private beach is walkable but they provide a shuttle to take you there. Also, great communication and arrangement for my boat/bus transfer from the airport - I highly recommend this to make your travel much easier.

Philippines>Service- we availed their airport transfers but the southwest travel tours was not able to handle the bookings. Travel time from airport to hotel took us 2hours bec of the waiting time. The van drivers choose which guests to take to the hotel rather than serving them based on who comes first in the line. We were also assigned to ride in a shared boat rather than the savoy boat which is different from the other guests. > Breakfast buffet - not too many choices. They cater to a more continental cuisine and not much of filipino local delicacies.
It has own clean beach front and view from the rooms
