Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

MaltaIf I had to comment I would suggest that the restaurant would have a better choice of wines. The beautiful pool would be perfect had the water been slightly cooler , as the water warms up with the extreme heat .
It's location is perfect near Lio beach which is also accessible from the hotel . Lovely rooms , clean and comfortable.

GermanyThe food and drinks have a lot of added sugar included and thus one needs to be mindful to request no sugar in your fresh juices as an example (orange, watermelon etc).
The location of this hotel is perfect, you are literally a stone throw away from the ocean. The activities that are provided with your room stay make it great value for money. The staff made my milestone birthday truly memorable and one that I won’t forget - thank you Seda Lio :) We also had the private dinner on the beach which was quite a romantic experience. Staff here are truly kind as we had a little baby with us and they went out of their way to accommodate food needs/requests of the baby.

SwitzerlandEverything was very good. Very enjoyable experience, we would definitely come back.
Its a fairly small, family like hotel. Everyone is always very friendly and helpful. It was our first time in Philippines and Seda Lio was the first hotel to welcome us, together with El Nido, its stole our hearts. Beach is very nice, as well as restaurant food and drinks. We highly recommend Sea Lio hotel to other travellers.\ Thanks for having us!

GermanyI did not like how the hotel is structured, so that to walk from one place to another you need to make some path, like through the bar or through the outside part of the restaurant. The pool is nice and the water is warm, however there are a lot of sharp edges that can be dangerous for kids. There could be more sunbeds available, either at the pool or at the beach.
Seda Lio is a nice and big resort located on the nice Lio Beach, a little bit north of El Nido, close to the El Nido airport, ideal location if you do not want to be caught in the chaotic downtown. At the same time you are also closer to Nacpan beach and to other viewpoints in the north. The rooms are big, spacious and clean, with a nice balcony. The water used by the hotel is from a special supplier, so the massive water issues in El Nido are less present here and you be more relaxed (but always pay attention) The breakfast has plenty of options, however whenever some food is finished, it takes quite a lot of time to be replaced (e.g. milk). The pool is big and clean, and the beach is wonderful. Here you can use the kayak for free, for example, or play a little bit of beach tennis. There is a signpost warning on the presence of nik-nik, however we did not experience (almost) any bite. The staff is always nice and helpful, although service is a little bit impersonal, mainly due to the big size of the hotel. We experienced the release of the turtles in the ocean and it was magical! Within walking distance (5 min) there are plenty of dining opportunities, in case you do not want to eat in the resort, and the path is illuminated

United StatesFacilities were a bit worn, food at breakfast was average, and dinner was quite disappointing. Much better food elsewhere along Lío Beach and in El Nido town.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely accommodations, room was large, bathroom was well equipped. Beach and amenities were wonderful. Location was great too. Love that they had regular water coolers to refill water bottles. Also felt very safe. Spa was lovely (and a pretty good price) and the gym was large and well maintained.

CanadaThe lobby area, hallway from the lobby to the third floor rooms, and the area at the outer edge of the restaurant needs more lighting. There is no bathroom in the lobby which is inconvenient.
Great hotel with amazing service. The rooms were big with a large balcony. The pools were perfect along with the pool bar. The beach was fantastic and the water was so clear. Good buffet breakfast and dinner. Only a 5 minute walk along the beach to other restaurants, drugstore, and more. The staff were all so nice and helpful. I would highly recommend staying here.

United KingdomNot enough sunbeds and they're not that comfortable either! Only a handful available although we always managed to get one without having to get to the pool too early.
Fantastic staff, really friendly and helpful. I was unwell on arrival and was able to see a Doctor at the hotel who sorted me out without charge. Best breakfast we had out of the hotels we stayed at. Room was lovely and clean Swimming pools were amazing and it wasn't too busy.

PhilippinesIt took a while to deliver in-room requests, such as food orders and other amenities. Menu options at the hotel’s sole restaurant were limited. Room service was only available until 10pm. Beachfront was also a bit dirty, and had sand flies, which could be a potential hazard.
The location was very near the airport, beautifully laid out, and provided a wonderful view of the El Nido islands. The heated pool was also amazing. Staff members were pleasant, and provided swift assistance.

GermanyThat it was too comfortable! Haha
Seda Lio is a massive comfortable hotel in El Nido. Maybe too comfortable that you will miss the true beautiful rugged landscape of the island that lies outside the compound. It has everything you need. Restaurants, beachfront, pool, shopping but all managed under one company.
