Everything was great except for the fact that the owner (which is a very lovely person) has a monkey on a very short leash as a pet.. we are not sure as of why, maybe it is sick ore smth.

Incredible location! Quiet beach with a couple of seafront restaurants. The host was brilliant and the free drinking water and strong WiFi was a huge bonus and not always common amongst the accommodation in the area.

Kiko and his family are the nicest people in Bucana. Kiko will offer you karaoke session and good recommendation for food and activities. The room is not too big but totally sufficient, and everything is clean. You also have 2 fans in the room, but it’s not that hot during the night.

This stay is phenomenal! One of our favourite places we’ve ever stayed. The host, Ka Kiko, is an absolute ray of sunshine and such a joy to be around. He gives great recommendations for places to eat and visit in the area, has some killer karaoke skills, will often personally escort you around the village, AND walk you to the shuttle bus at the end of your stay (even at five in the morning!). His family are delightful and will add so much warmth to your stay (cheeky boy Cham Cham!). The facilities are clean and well maintained. Water pressure for showers is good. Free tea and coffee on the beach each morning is lovely. The stay is right on the beach and feels like a little slice of paradise. Wifi is incredible considering the location. You can cook in their kitchen for a small fee. Ka Kiko also made us the most delicious dish we’ve had during our stay in the Philippines. When you book, keep an eye out for the intro message from the host - it has some very handy information about getting to the property for a good cost. Do yourself a favour and stay here!

We absolutely loved our stay at Camp Shalom, the location was amazing (on a very quite and beautiful beach) the family running Camp Shalom were amazing, they spent time with us and helped us organise a local tour, brought us to karaoke and made sure we were happy throughout our stay. I can't say enough great things about this place. We stayed in both el nido and here, in our opinion this is 100 times better than el Nido town. I count the days until I can return to camp Shalom. Ka Kiko and your family thank you for everything, I hope to see you again soon

We loved our stay at shalom camp! Highly recommend if you would like to stay outside of a busy tourist area, in a small village right on the beach. Very peaceful and tranquil falling asleep to the sound of the sea.

I liked everything about the property. My room, the garden, the beach. It was amazing. The family makes you feel super welcome and the kids are so happy and fun to play with. If you wan’t a real beautiful experience on the best beach of Nido, away from tourism, this is it

Probably the best place we have ever been in our 3 months trip in South East Asia! Ka Kiko and his family were adorable and we also spent good time with them at the beach or at Shalom Camp. The position is something on another level, we were basically waking up with the feet on the beach. Bucana is also much better than El Nido if you’re looking for a less touristic place with original people and not just tourists. We booked for 7 days and decided at the end to extend our stay for 3 more days as we were finding ourselves in heaven. Thank you so much guys you’re the best.

Coffee and water available for free all day. Chill place. Good location if you want to get away from the city. Ka kiko and family are really good host and amazing human beings. The only thing would be the shower didn’t seen to have a lot of pressure when we were there, I don’t know if there was a trick to it or something😅

The host Ka Kiko, amazing human being!! The fact you drop your scooter, take the bridge and a 5min walk, you’re there!! People in the village are just pure!! On my 3 days, 2 mornings I had a chance to see them put baby turtles in sea (magic moment), if you are ok to sleep in hut and live a good experience without the touristic chaos, this is the place!

We loved staying in Shalom Camp. Ka Kiko was really welcoming and kind, he was always ready to help in anything we could need. We had an amazing experience there with a turtle that made our stay more magic. The room is tiny but had what we needed, it’s perfect for a beach camp experience

The place was lovely. Kiko is one of the most amazing person that we've met in Philippines, he helped with everything and more. Just in front of the sea. Very nice and quite place if you don't want to stay for few days with all the tourists from El Nido. 40min by walk from Duli beach (a lovely one). Thanks Kiko for everything!!!

The place is really authentique, just across the ocean. Not a lot of tourist , kind people and there is also a lot of little store near by. There is a lot of beautiful beach not so far with the scooter ( duly beach, nagpam beach)

Kiko and his daughter Jam were very nice and helpful. Kiko showed me around and helped me get a driver to El Nido. The location is a bit far from El Nido so if you don't drive a motorcycle it takes about 45 minutes by tricycle. But once you get there you forget all about that as the camp is located on the beach and it's very quiet and pieceful. At night you can here the waves from the hut. There are some nice restaurants on the beach just within 1 minute walking from the camp.

Wonderful encounter with our hosts ! We had a very warm greeting and we spent some great moments with the family that manages the place. They were so nice and thoughtful 😁 The camp is located in front of the beach in a little fisherman's village, off the beaten tracks. Exactly what we were looking for. You have to leave your vehicle at the suspend bridge, then walk over. Great experience. They were waiting for us at the bridge. You will be sleeping in a little simple nippa and you have a commun kitchen and bathroom. Everything was very clean. If you are looking for an experience out of the touristic zones and meet a local Filipino family this place is for you. With a scooter, you can easily go to visit Nacpan beach (touristic beach with a lot of resorts and restaurants) or Duli beach (less people but has a small surf spot and two places for lunch or a drink, also offers massages), or even have a road trip around the north.
