The price is very high compared to how oldish the facilities are, although we expected that already. The spa sessions cost 6-8 times more than on regular places so you are either forced to pay western prices or go outside the compound. Restaurants were okay but not super amazing and very little variety to stay more than 2 days. Hotel could also be more eco-friendly.

It’s an oasis hotel in the middle on nowhere, really a place you go to stay in as there is nothing around to do. The pools were nice and all the staff is really friendly and kind. Breakfast at Acqua was good (the other restaurant was overcrowded and too loud). The room was always clean and fresh, bed was comfortable. Ice creams were very nice too.

In May the Tides restaurant is too hot. And since reception is open, it's warm there too if there is no breeze.

The Air condition didn’t work as we as was expecting they need to upgrade there air conditioning system throughout the whole property even in the the YesterdayTide restaurant

We had such a wonderful stay at the Shangri La to celebrate my 30th birthday. Our room was so beautifully presented with gorgeous views over the pools and beach. The selection of food at breakfast time was the best we've ever had in any hotel. The staff were so kind, helpful and attentive. The pools and beach were immaculate and in very good condition. In terms of activities there's a whole list to choose from, we did the snorkel safari one afternoon which was amazing and also attended yoga on the Saturday morning during our stay. We also visited the spa facilities which were beautiful and used the outdoor pools there. We would 100% recommend staying here and particularly enjoyed our upgrade to Ocean club where we had access to the Club lounge with complimentary drinks and snacks. Overall an incredible stay and one we will always remember!

I think maybe the room, the room is ok, but you can feel it’s old. The feeling of the hotel buildings are old ones, not really renovated.

Extra charges for golf and some activities were disappoint espicaially after paying for the ocean club access. The price for the buffet was very expensive $$$$. Good selection of foods but not a lot of food options for vegetarians.

Very nice luxury hotel, we have really enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was not to my liking, however other restaurant options on the territory are quite nice. Fresh coconuts were really a highlight to the stay as well as amazing SPA-experience. We also liked activities at the beach: snorkelling, water sports, etc. Beach itself is not too big, but clean and cozy. It's fun to watch and have a possibility to feed fish directly from the coast. Thanks for having us!

The front office at the start of our stay was awful. He tried to sell more to us like a amateur shopper not well suited to Shangri La. We have altready mentioned that we had stayed at many Shangri La in the world. He tried to upgrade us with money. We mentioned that we will not be happy with a standard room with our child. But he didn't understand. I think Shangri La should provide a family room as a standard for a family with a child. We were not happy with the room that he provided us because of the child. International food menu especially for vegetarians and children are very limited. They need to enlarge the variety.

Wonderful concierge service. They took scale to the room to measure the weights of the luggages. They have a lively restaurant at the beach. They have wonderful food and service there. Wonderful managers and staff there at this restaurant. They listened our special requests for the food for the kid and provided wonderful and delicious food. By rain, they put our table into the restaurant and send us to the ocean wing lobby by club car. The beach and the pool is wonderful for a child between 4-12 years old. They are very clean and well decorated. They even provide pool toys. The beach has white sand and shallow water. The kids can feed the big fishes at the shallow part of the sea by the provided fish food by the staff. They provide snorkels which will be nice after the shallow part of the sea. The gym was very nice. They provide cold free water everywhere.
