The wifi could be better. The reception wasn't always good inside our room.

A short bike ride away from everything while not being in the busy area of General Luna. Close to secret beach. Friendly host. On site motorbike rental.

What I like about the property is it’s not crowded and noisy, which the one I admired and the staff is so friendly and accommodating.

- Cockroaches in my room and also in my friends rooms - Staff were not understanding and were rude when I mentioned the cockroach situation. Spoke to the owner and he gaslit me into saying that I should have said something sooner although I mentioned it the moment I saw the cockroach in my room. Have never experienced this in my life. Owner also said to me “you are living in a jungle what do you expect” - not a clean bathroom, no cleaning included as part of the rooms although clearly there’s a problem with cockroaches - they also rented out a bike to my friend which was old which then led to a motorbike accident and they accused my friend saying it was her fault and that the bike was pretty new (Crazy!)

Unfortunately I didn’tlike anything about this property.

I have never written a bad review to this day. To sum up for the people who don't want to read the whole review: cockroaches, mice, horrible WiFi connection, extremely rude and condescending host coming up with lies and excuses to avoid confrontation (he did not take my call ONCE). No basic hotel service as well. The long story: I arrived on the 25th, a day after two of my friends checked in. The night before, my friend had a cockroach crawling on her in bed, to which they assured us this was an isolated incident and it had never happened before (I have a screenshot of it), which is fine - it’s the jungle, I get it. But a big fat lie. We’re three girls, and all three of us found cockroaches in our 3 separate rooms. I took a photo of it as they kept denying there was a trace of cockroaches and that “we’re making things up”. I only regret not taking a photo of the mice in the kitchen upstairs. On top of that, you have to pay for basic service - toilet paper and cleaning service (which is wild if you have a cockroach/ mice problem). I have attached a screenshot of the arrival information. I don’t understand how you make someone pay 400 pesos for cleaning if you have a cockroach problem. You should be pushing to clean the rooms for free to ensure a good stay for the guests and regularly check for cockroaches - not have your guests chase cockroaches at 3 am. I confronted one of the ladies about it after all 3 of us found cockroaches in our rooms, and she said they offer free cleaning and she had told my friend about it (she has not, as it’s not true, otherwise my friend wouldn’t have paid for cleaning, no?). They lied through their teeth for everything. I did check out 3 nights before my stay ended, after I found a cockroach too, that was the last drop. I asked for a refund, and the property told Booking, “They cleaned my room twice, and I decided to leave as maybe I just didn’t like the room”. I have a lot more to say but not enough characters.

The place itself has a lot of potential. The rooms are spacious.

- The bathroom was dirty from day one. - We had cockroaches everyday. - Cleaning of the room/ change of towels and sheets costs extra. - One day the water wasn’t really running. Apparently the staff had already called someone but no one told us anything and we had to discover it while trying to take a shower. The next day we had water running but no hot water. - In general the communication was really bad. Whenever we had an issue we could never find someone around. We tried to plan the island hopping trip via the hotel and texted the WhatsApp number but the average response time was 7-10 hours. That makes it difficult to plan anything.. - Lastly, the first day we had to go to another room than the one we booked because the previous guests asked to stay one night longer due to an accident, which we completely understood. However, the other room was really inferior to the one we had booked. We looked up the price for the room online and it was also cheaper then the one we had booked, but the hotel didn’t offer anything to make up for it. When we asked for the price difference the agreed to pay us back, but kept saying how good the room actually is.. In my opinion, they should have given us the price difference back when they sent us to a cheaper and inferior room. The room is nice and has potential to offer a great stay but given all the communication problems, the kind of not existence staff and the dirt and cockroaches in our room, we really didn’t enjoy our stay there.
