Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BelgiumThe smell in the bathroom is very strong. The air con was leaking. It was very noisy, which is not the owners fault but if you are looking for a quiet place to rest, this is not a place for you. The wifi was also not working.
The owners are very kind. The bed is comfortable. The dogs are the cutest. Hot water worked fine. We booked the island hopping and van to el nido with the owner, everything was well organised.

The absolute best thing about this property are the hosts. Sol and Chris (and Hazel the dog) are extremely welcoming. They gave us some great tips for things to see and do in Port Barton, and Sol arranged our island hopping tour for us, which was a highlight. The location is also great, around 5-10 walk from the centre of town.

ItalyI know it is related to the owners or the place itself but the roosters around the Inn are super loud 24/7 so bring some earplug for the night.
The room is large and cozy, the bathroom same thing. The owners are very kind and friendly, always making you feel a guest in their home. Location-wise this Inn is just ouside the main streets.

Sol and Chris are wonderful hosts. Rooms are spacious and clean. AC one of the best in the Philippines. You notice in the little details that the rooms are well thought out. Also Chris’ breakfast is well priced and tastes very good!

GermanyIt was wonderful here. Totally clean, large, modern and beautifully furnished. Everything is within walking distance and the bus station is 4 minutes away. Everything is close and it is a lot better, nicer, more modern and cheaper than CocoRico Hostel where many stay. Also the breakfast, for the equivalent of 3.30€ is wonderful. There is free water, cafe and tea in the accommodation. But the best thing about the accommodation is Sol and her dog Hazel. So adorable, funny, accommodating and sweet. She takes care of everything, speaks super English, you learn a lot about the Philippines and she gives super recommendations. She is a great person and if you really want to get to know Port Barton, come to Sol. We will miss you.

PhilippinesThe WiFi signal was poor and also 4G signal was poor. The bed was a bit hard but not too bad. The dogs were very loud in the area with their barking keeping us up or waking us up most nights.
Very friendly owner who helped make our stay enjoyable. They were able to arrange a private island hopping boat tour for us and also the minivan back to Puerto Princesa. Good location. And in general Port Barton was our favourite place in the Phillipines on our three week travels. Beautiful beaches and islands.

Sol and Chris are the absolutely perfect hosts, if we stay in Port Barton again this will be our first choice. Sol went out of her way to help us in any way possible. Don't look anywhere else, stay here!!! Walking distance from restaurants and beach. Great location away from busy and noisy town but 2 mins walk. Lovely breakfast....thanks Chris. Normal bathroom and room. The owner is a very nice women, she can help in everything .There is a common fridge, so you can cool your drink. Hot shower.I think it has good location, but if you are with suitcase it can be uncomfortable because you have to bring in your hand after rain. But I was with backpack, so it was not problem for me.They have a nice dog.You can buy bus ticket to El Nido or PP at the owner for the same price like everywhere.
