How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Reception wanted photos of our passports and couldn’t tell us their policy on how long they held the information, they did agree not to take the picture when we objected though.
The bed was large and very comfortable. Good shower, easily the best water pressure we had our whole time in the Philippines. Location right by a big mall was great. Security guards 24/7 who arranged all our taxis and made sure the drivers used their meters. Wifi in our room was good and allowed us to stream shows.

the room rates are always increasing.... the bidet in our toilet wasnt working well toilet paper was very thin,,, and they gave only one piece, they didnt refill the cotton /ear buds--- what I'm saying its obvious they are scrimping on everything now,,,, It wasn't like that last year wen i stayed multiple times... pls to help tourism recover faster the hotels should not be greedy with rates,,, thats why are are left behind by vietnam and thailand... we are becoming greedy with our hotel rates!!!

Ac was very noisy making it hard to sleep. A random cleaner opened our room door at 4am while we were sleeping, thankfully we had the safety latch on but it was a bit disturbing and we had no explanation why.
Lovely looking hotel, spacious room and convenient location.

Waiting from 8am -2 pm for our rooms to be ready is not fun at all even though we had requested for an early checked in few weeks before our arrival. Aside from that, nothing to complain.

The QR for room service didn’t work so we waited ages until we rang reception to find it hadn’t gone through but they did then quickly respond. Room service wasn’t 24hours - we stayed during Holy Week where a lot shuts down and after a long day out we returned back around 10pm and couldn’t order although we were able to use Grab.
Rooms big and clean, nice bathroom with good shower. Comfy big bed. Gym accessible at all times and good range of equipment. Didn’t use pool but it looked nice. Hotel staff were really helpful. Breakfast had a great selection.

Smaller hotel chains in USA generally offer a complementary continental breakfast. No such amenities here.

Noticeable wear and tear in the rooms due to age and usage. But saying that everything is functional.
Nice staff. Clean rooms. Authentic Filipino breakfast. Connected to a mall. Good starting point for exploring Cebu. Beds are comfortable.

When I booked the hotel a few days prior, Iplaced a note if they can prepare a little note or a little something for the guest as it was a gift to a friend of mine that was recently married. I even called in the morning to remind of the request, however when I came to check in I was surprised that nothing was prepared and was even told that I have not advised them of it even though it was in the note when I booked it and called a few hours before I checked in. I was a bit disappointed as I was excited with the little surprise I was expecting. I hope the next time I book they would be mindful of the little request the guest have as Iittle things comes a long way. It would have been nice if I was informed that they cannot provide,I could have checked in early and prepared it myself. That's it. Thank You! 🙂
