We stayed for two nights with the family, and the experience was amazing. The rooms were comfortable, well set up and clean. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The owner is there daily and makes the place warm and welcoming. It's a hidden gem just far enough off the beaten track to be easily reached, but far enough away from it all that it's peaceful and relaxing. And to top it all off, the sunsets are amazing here. Take the time and enjoy them while sitting on your balcony looking out over the sea. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing idyllic experience.

The most beautiful sunset we have seen. The staff were amazing and helped us for anything we wanted. Alex and Emily were the best hosts we’ve had and made us feel at home and relaxed to enjoy the beautiful areas. They picked us up for the airport, dropped us off at the ferry after our stay and also organised and facilitated our tour to the Day Asan floating village and mangroves. The tour was really good with some of the clearest water and corals that we have seen on our trip, riding on the surf board on the back of the boat was a highlight. Alex even took us out on his speedboat for the tour of the coastline complimentary. The food was some of the best in the Philippines that we’ve tried and has a wide variety of choices at a good price. We loved having breakfast and dinner on our private balcony right next to the sea as well as the pool to ourselves in the evening. The paddleboard was also free to use. The Finnish sauna was also a great experience to try at sunset. The beds were very comfortable and the AC and fan was working well. One highlight is having a water fountain directly in the room so you never run out of drinking water. Overall it was one of the best stays in the Philippines and we hope to come back one day.

Nothing. But take a more comfortable tricycle from Suriago to the resort, than I did

It is quite far away from Surigao, but it is an excellent place to spend several relaxed days. Alex and his team took perfectly care of me. He even gave me a lift to the airport because my flight was very early. The bungalows are pretty with a nice view to the sunset. The restaurant is good and the prices are really fair. Unfortunately I could not use the nice infinity pool due to an injury. Starklink WiFi is available. So the best you can get in most parts of the Philippines.

We liked everything!

Absolutely everything about it was appealing…Very quiet and peaceful…Relaxing…Alex and his staff were wonderful…Breakfast every morning was delicious and their lunch and dinner menu was also very delightful, tasty food…the pool was refreshing and the view of the ocean was lovely…there’s a little stray cat, that we took care of during our stay there, we named her Maya…She was unbelievably friendly and affectionate towards us and she claimed us as her own…it was a beautiful time there at the Surigao Dream Beach Resort and I would highly recommend it to anyone that is looking for a peaceful and relaxing time in a beautiful place

The steps from the cabin were covered in algae and really slippery, but the owner Alex addressed the issue immediately after being notified. He was also an excellent host!

The accommodation is very well. Nice swimming pool and (because the owner is from Finland) there is a sauna. It's free to be used. The food in the restaurant is nice and for a good price. And....if you wish you can have your beer in a frozen glass!

Beautiful spot to relax. The villas are amazing and each have air conditioning. Although there aren't many corals left after the typhoon, the fish are still among the rocks for you to see while you snorkel in front of the resort. The food is wonderful as well. The pool and sauna are a great bonus and well maintained. The excursions Alex set up are great. We were able to swim with a whale shark in the wild and I highly recommend the Day-Asan tour. Great spot to see and also probably one of the best coral reefs I've snorkeled in the Philippines. And I've done many (including apo island).

The location is amazing right by the water with amazing views and sunsets. The food was nice also with plenty of options. The owner Alex was really friendly and helpful. Made us some lovely finish coffee and couldn’t do enough for you. Very clean.

Less food options on their menu but city proper is not that far. 20-25 mins away by car. Just and idea, maybe you can offer scooters for rent in the future because there are nice places and views nearby that guests can go and check out in the daytime :)

We stayed during the Christmas season and the the hotel management organized a Christmas lunch for everyone (guests and staff) on December 24th which is really awesome! Alex greeted us warmly when we arrived at the hotel and the check in process was very smooth. Room is spacious and clean. Free drinking water is provided inside the room. Smart TV, movies, and books are also available to use. WiFi connection is also great. Another plus for us is that the property is pet friendly. They even provided us rope to use so our dog can have longer leash and explore the nice place without the worry of him running around the entire town :D The property is clean and well maintained. It is a "rocky" beach but definitely not a problem for us. The stones and rocks are not sharp and still relatively safe to walk or swim barefoot. We are still able to swim and enjoy the water. Even our dog Kairo, enjoyed it too. Last but not the least, all staff and crew are very accomodating to our requests and in general very friendly! We just had an amazing stay overall considering the weather was not at its best. How much more in the middle of summer? Exactly. Will definitely come back! :)

The beach was not sandy like the most beaches in the Surigao Area, mostly consisting of pebbles and rocks. The way from the house to the beach was quite far. It needs sandals or slippers.

Breakfast was good. Aleksi, the owner bought even my favorite Jam, what I like usually in my homemade breakfast. The pool was great with a separation from the children's pool to the adult area. The view to the sea was great and unblocked by any obstacles. The houses for the customers were spacious and high. There was an additional ceiling fan to the air con. The bathroom was spacious and clean, The owner, his wife and he staff were very helpful.

The meals were excellent and reasonably priced. Truly a place to relax and enjoy time with family and friends. I would recommend a stay at this resort for any time of year and for any occasion!!

It’s clean and perfect for small or large groups.There are 12 of us when we stayed there and all of us were having a good time the entire time we were there. If I happen to be in Surigao again, I will definitely stay here again.

Great place, good food and nice staff. A lot to explore arround the Iland. The rooms are clean and comfy with a great ocean and sunnset fiew. The baar and poolsite are a great place to chill. And there is a lot to explore coral diving magroove forests waterfals caves and more.
