The only thing we didn’t love was the chill out area, it’s a nice space but it could do with some fans. We found it way too hot to chill in during the day. Only a minor thing though in the grand scheme of things!

100% recommend this hostel. It’s located right opposite Tubod beach, has great food, and the friendliest staff. Our room was comfy and clean and air con worked great. Also the cat is adorable!

Bathrooms are xtremely small. No soap is provided even for hand wash. AC does not work properly. Wifi didn't work very well in general.

Cherry and her staff are amazing people, they all are kind and help so much, always with a smile. The restaurant is great. Loved the smoothie bowl. Location is great. The entire area where the hostel is located is pretty good. They have motorbikes for rent and also arrange tuk tuk pick ups/drop offs from the port.

Shower pressure isn’t the greatest but at least there’s the option of hot water.

Staff were so relaxed and pleasant, really know how to run a place correctly and treat their guests. Waited for us at the ferry port and welcomed us on arrival with a complimentary drink and cold wet towel. Took our bags to the room for us and showed us round. Really high level of service considering the price of the room. Cleaned the rooms each day to a high level.

The location is a bit out of the way so you have to get trikes pretty much everywhere. But to be honest, San Juan in general is very spread out so there's not too many places with a great location

The staff were absolutely outstanding, they made a huge effort to learn guests' names, organise tours, organise transport and just generally make everyone's stay as comfortable and easy as possible. The food in the restaurant was delicious and there was free water refills available for guests there. The room we stayed in was very spacious and comfortable and so clean.

The staff were the absolute highlight, from knowing our names (and remembering them throughout!) to making sure we had everything we needed and helping us secure tuk tuks! Room was comfortable and didn’t feel like it was a massive dorm despite the number of beds. Never had to wait long for a shower or toilet either.

The room is very clean, good food with a good price, friendly housekeepers especially the smiling young ones, the sheets and towels are changed every other two days, free water to drink.

Tagbalayon was propably my favourite hostel in whole Philippines! The staff make an effort to remember everybodys names and are very helpful. On arrival they send you to watsapp detailed information what you can do on the island. The dorm rooms are clean and have an ac. Food was good and easy for a vegetarian. At the nearest beach (5min walk) you can start snorkelling straight from the beach!

The staff is very helpful and friendly, I had a great stay here. The room has everything you need, mini fridge, kettle and is air-conditioned. The WiFi works well too.

The bungalow room was not connected to the restaurant or main buildibg where regular rooms are located as i have other family members assigned there. But it wasn’t a big deal. The place was still amazing!

The property is in a great location. Beach is walking distance.

The bathroom in the room is quite small and the room is quite dark.

The staff are so friendly and lovely - they learn your name which is such a cute touch!! The room gets cleaned often. Lots of storage space for bags and stuff. The restaurant downstairs has great food.

Everything is great except for the structural flaw (?) in the bathroom (Rm 302). Smells like sewer most of the time. I wouldn’t have booked there if I had known earlier :( They should really do something about it.

Location is a little out of San Juan so definitely need to rent a bike or get tuktuk to get around but easy to arrange. We booked the Apo Island tour through the Lodging but was organised by Island Vibes Explorers. Apo Island and snorkeling with turtles was amazing but the tour organisers were disappointing and would recommend going with someone else. (Heard good things about Coco Beach Resort tours).

Private room was basic but very comfortable. Aircon worked well. They come and clean the room every day. Close to the amazing Tubod Marine sanctuary which is great for snorkeling. Staff are friendly and on site restaurant is good.

There is 2 dorms. The first one where i stayed was almost perfect except the fact that there is just a curtain between the stockroom and dorms. So you can hear everything and when you sleep just next to the curtain (like me) the light can disturb you. The second dorm is much less practical unfortunately. There is no plug, the room is very small and the toilet are just next to the beds

The Western-style restaurant somehow did not attract us at all. The smells of fried fat coming out of it are kind of unpleasant and we didn't eat there a single time.

We stayed in a family bungalow located a bit away from the main road, which was very pleasant. The owners of the place, Cherry and Lyric, were both super nice and helpful people. Actually the whole staff was incredibly nice! There is a lot to like for at this place and we enjoyed our time here a lot! We stayed almost two weeks and nobody wanted to leave at the end! It's also perfect value for money! Siquijor is the nicest and best island we discovered during our several months-long trip through Asia.

Nothing! It was perfect for us.

The room was lovely and was cleaned daily, comfy beds and warm shower with great pressure. Staff were amazing, we had a leaky AC unit and they fixed it straight away and as it got some of our clothes wet overnight they did our laundry for free which was very kind. Super helpful with renting a bike and learnt our names which gave a really personal service. The restaurant downstairs is great and affordable as well. Miss it already!
