Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Arab EmiratesI will not call this properly a luxury. There is nothing luxury about it. Hotel is barely operational, everything is close. No bidet in the toilet. Food and drinks are ridiculously expensive and awful taste. Breakfast buffet is almost the same everyday. I stayed for 11 nights, so i was eating almost the same food in 12 days We stayed during Christmas and literally nothing prepared for Christmas event. There was just one pr 3 nights where there are carollers. And yes they have Christmas decorations but you wont feel the Christmas spirit. The hotel is so dry and like a ghost town at night.
Property is big. And with privacy

United KingdomThe breakfast menu was quite limited in options and only offered instant coffee Unfortunately (probably due to the time of year?) not all of the hotel/facilities were open
The room was big, clean and comfortable Staff were exceptionally friendly, genuine, helpful and attentive Food and drinks were very reasonably priced for a hotel Hotel was very quiet Great location on a quiet, beautiful section of beach but only a short walk to restaurants/bars, 5 minute e-trike away from the ferry port Complimentary shuttle bus to the centre of Station 2, and electric golf buggies to get you around the resort if needed.

Hong KongLocation for breakfast, on outside terrace, is amazing! But as a seasoned traveller, it’s a full buffet or nothing! If you serve a “plated and fixed breakfast” you are just a routine hotel. Communication about how breakfast works was poor and execution of the experience was poor. If you give a menu and say choose one dish, why then bring out a platter of fruit, cake and breads? It’s a half hearted attempt at a buffet. You have a fantastic base from which to make the start of the guests day something special, but not managing the experience correctly leaves frustration of a missed opportunity. Staff were polite, friendly and willing, but badly organised and trained, that’s a management responsibility. Breakfast on that terrace, should be what brings guests back every time! I totally appreciate that unless you have a good critical mass, a good buffet spread will waste a lot of food, hence cost. That’s why Auhana needs more than the 25 guests we experienced. You need minimum 100 to make the economics work and if you get breakfast right, you will achieve that easily and more. Guests don’t want 300 others around, but they DO want to see more than a handful. 80 - 130 should be a minimum target. Keep the price high, as it is now, but offer 3rd night free to encourage more guests to stay. And make a marketing campaign about the “spectacular breakfast”. Then manage breakfast professionally and train the staff properly.
Location for breakfast, on outside terrace, is amazing!

PhilippinesThough the staff were respectful, my wife find it disrespectful that some of them communicated with her in Tagalog when around me, as I do not speak the language. Also, we booked for round trip airport transfers, only to find nobody at the Caticlan airport from Auhana to pick us up. In the end, we had to arrange our own transportation to the hotel. Last but not least, my wife and I had to ask for tabo and pail - as the toilet didn’t have sprayer. The built in bidet isn’t really working for us. There was no overhead shower, and faucet either.
All the staff were polite, quiet and private hotel vicinity.

MacaoDuring our stay we could see that less than 50% of the facilities of the hotel were operational, it looks like it’s abandoned , and somehow it’s strange to walk around due to its emptiness and darkness and specially because it’s a huge hotel. It is a shame that such a large hotel does not have the facilities properly invested in to provide maximum comfort to guests who choose to stay in this space in the expectation of finding 5-star hospitality.
It’s a potential beachfront resort located in a serene beach, with beautiful sunset views. Although it needs to be renovated and well maintained by a top property owner and a real five star hotel management.

Czech RepublicThe first night, the AVR box on our room emitted a sound so loud it was like a tsunami alarm at 4am. The next day, our shower flooded. And every remaining day, the air conditioning was erratic and not able to be controlled by us. We had to call engineering every time we wanted to adjust the temperature. I informed the duty manager, who apologized, and only offered to change our room on the last night of our stay.
It was not peak season, so it was quiet. The staff were all very pleasant and friendly. The location was wonderful.

SwedenI had a fantastic experience at the Auhana Resort in Boracay. One of the standout features was the convenient shuttle van service for drop-off and pick-up from town, making transportation hassle-free. The service provided by the staff was exceptional, with a high level of respect and attentiveness. There was always someone nearby to assist with any requests or inquiries. The breakfast was not only delicious but of exceptional quality. The highlight was the floating breakfast by the pool, which added a special touch to our stay. We were given access to all the resort's facilities upon request, which was especially appreciated since we visited during the low season. This makes the Auhana Resort an excellent choice for families, as it offers a quieter and more relaxed atmosphere on the beach. Overall, the Auhana Resort exceeded my expectations, offering excellent service, delicious food, and a family-friendly environment. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Boracay.

SingaporeWe have booked thru Booking.com site and as what we have been informed, the free airport - hotel transfer is only applicable if you book thru your website. I have tried to book our preferred rooms thru that before but your website is showing that it is not available. Thus we have booked thru booking.com site. The thing is, even though your guest should book thru 3rd party sites, this promo should be covered as well. Also, the rate for this airport to hotel transfer is quite absurd. I have booked thru klook and their rate is much much less with the same comfort. You need to take a look at this rate for your guests. Another important thing that you need to greatly improve is your food offering. We understand at that time we were there that there are only few guests thus there is no breakfast buffet offered but per order set food. My take on this is you should have a breakfast food irregardless if there are few guests. This is one of the thing that us guest is looking at in a resort or hotel stay. The breakfast offering. Sad to say, you failed on this and you need to really improve on this. You can also make sure that the food offerings for lunch and dinner is wide and good since the resort location is quite far from station 2 where lots of restaurants are located. If you can improve this part, guests will instead have their lunch or dinner in your resort instead of going to station 2 for that. These are the two things that you need to take a look and improve. Other than that, all are good and okay.
We liked the location. Nice beach, not crowded and great facilities.
