Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Saudi ArabiaA little bit dated, breakfast was adequate not huge variety. Beware: taxi ride to airport took 2 hours and we missed the flight! Hotel called Taxi and took 15 mins to arrive. It was slow and didn’t have electronic tag for motorway…traffic is terrible! in fact, road to airport (approx 200m from Departures) was closed, so we took our cases and walked!
Lovely old building in Intramuros, the historical old centre of Manila. Great location, comfortable beds and bedding, friendly staff

TaiwanWe had consistent issues with the lack of hot water. This was our only issue, but it is a large one. It was consistently warm, and only occasionally hot. Every shower I took had the temperature setting at the highest level. We found this problem to be the case more often when showering in the afternoon or evening. Even after being upgraded to nicer rooms, the issue remained. Staff did their best to accommodate us, and we appreciate their efforts, but the cause of the problem was not solved. Discussing this with management we found this to have become an issue in the last couple weeks only. Hopefully they can fix the water heater soon, because everything else about the hotel was great. Update 3/22/2023 A rebate promised by Ms. Shai Perez upon checkout is still missing. I have contacted them through their portal and will update again if the promise made is kept. Update 4/24/2023 A rebate of 10% was finally given, but only after I emailed Ms. Perez directly to ask what was taking so long. Maybe they forgot, or maybe they "forgot", but everything has now been settled.
The beds were comfy. The location is good for Intramuros. Staff tried to do their best to accommodate us at every chance. The views from the restaurant and the Sky Deck are great. The egg station is a bonus, but the rest of the breakfast was lacking for me as I don't eat meat. I did not ask for anything special as eggs and bread was enough to start the day.

PhilippinesThe roofdeck bar required reservations and did not at first allow hotel guests to walk in even if there were many available tables and said tables remained unoccupied for the rest of the night. The rooms are also too small for 3 pax (maximum capacity).
The location is good and the hotel is clean and well maintained. The staff members are helpful and polite.

PhilippinesThere was nothing absolutely wrong with the facilities but it may be easier to find the main entrance of the hotel if there were some signages nearby pointing to the main entrance of the hotel - I've had two Grab rides encounter this problem. The main entrance faces a side street rather than the larger main street making it seem not obvious.
Considering this a hotel operated by a nearby university (where a lot of their on the job trainees for their Hotel and Restaurant Management program usually complete their internship hours) - the experience doesn't feel like it. It's a very well-kept, very professional hotel. Check-in was fast and I was allowed to check-in 2 hours before the intended check-in hours, which was great. The room I stayed in has been relatively refreshed, has a very sleek modern, boutique hotel look without feeling cheap or campy. Room was well-lit, relatively spacious for a couple and has a large bathroom for its size. Very clean, no signs of roaches or pests. No issues with the airconditioning and the TV. My room also has a good view towards one of the historical walls, and the Manila City Hall where you can see the working clock tower, surrounded by manicured greens of the golf course - a great view to both wake up and wind down. They have four restaurants that you can try. On the ground floor they have "Cioccolatta", a coffee shop that has their specialty churros for only 130 pesos, which can be a good afternoon snack. A pizzeria "Raffaela" is on the third floor, where you can try Italian-Filipino inspired dishes. I tried their Raffaela Ragout pasta (traditional meat sauce) and wasn't disappointed. On the ninth floor there's 9Spoons a restaurant offering Filipino dishes with a twist. At night 9Spoons transfers to the hotel's rooftop restaurant, Sky Deck, offering great views at night. You should try their Bayleaf Specialty Iced Tea and Chocolate Wall dessert :) The hotel is within the walled city of Intramuros, so immediately outside the hotel you can scale on the walls (which can be seen from some of the rooms). It's also just minutes away from Fort Santiago and churches like the Manila Cathedral and San Agustin Church.

United StatesWhen we got our room, both walls were all windows so the closed curtains made it too dark and curtains opened were too bright. The set of windows with the good view had a screen/blind that only opened partially. We explained our concerns and that we were staying 6 days and asked for another room option. We were quickly moved to another room with one wall of windows and the screen/ blind opened about 2/3 of the way.p - a good fit for us. Reception (Kim)and staff (Carl)were patient and willing to help solve the problem. The hallways had carpet and the carpet had a strong unpleasant smell - a location that has so much moisture does better with tile flooring than carpet. An older hotel that was probably in its prime once, but now has lost some of its glamour. The rooms have been painted to look modern rather than stylish. Bath mat, towels and bed comforter are well used - some stains and mold. In the breakfast room we were asked to wear masks while getting our food from the buffet, it this expectation was inconsistent - you either have a rule or you don't.
In a local historical neighborhood with much outside life happening. You can easily walk to 7-Eleven, churches, and parks. Right next to old wall - people walk along the top and many high school students use the wide wall top for chatting, playing badminton and volleyball. There is a golf course on the other side of the wall. Many tricycles and one horse carriage rides for hire nearby. Breakfast was a buffet with many savory choices. Breakfast begins at 6 am. No yogurt, but they had peanut butter. Latte was included! Many savory local dishes. Choices were the same except they would have sausages one day and pancakes or French toast the next - not on the same day though. Restaurant on the 8th floor that is open until 4 pm. We were able to order smoothies and work digitally for a while. There is another dinner restaurant on the 9th floor. It has 2 times for dinner seatings: 4-7 and 8-11. There is also a cafe attached to hotel that has coffees, teas, cookies and bread - open 8 am-7pm. Also another restaurant on the 3rd floor. The mattress and pillows are too soft for our liking. Lamps on each side of the bed as well as outlets. Shower water is consistently warm (we would have enjoyed hotter water) and has medium water pressure. The staff are hardworking, dedicated and professional. One of our tour guides told us that many of the staff are from local university programs and are completing 'on-the-job' training - another great reason to stay here and support local education /training.
