Property is in a fantastic location, very close to the town centre! The staff are very friendly and personable. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, despite being dark but that is all part of their aesthetic. Happy hour cocktails were fantastic and breakfast was delicious! We will definitely be back again!

Very nice and modern hotel in the center of El Nido. The breakfast was really good and the staff is so friendly helpful and professional. A particular thank you to Kem who was absolutely lovely with us ! I highly recommend the Funny Lion hotel !

Overall atmosphere was amazing, whether it's the modern architecture and cleanliness, or the friendly bartenders, or amazing front desk staff, Hello Val!!! Breakfast was amazing, and we enjoyed one of our dinner nights as well. Highly recommend and will return for sure to El Nido Funny Lion, but also to check out the other two locations in Palawan.

Only minor things, we had a fantastic time there. But the Hotel is located next to a rather busy street, noise level in general is pretty high even at night (tricycles driving by, barking dogs, crowing roosters).The backside of the hotel is a little rough compared to the nice entrance area.

Super friendly and attentive staff, great service, and very nice facilities (room, pool, gym, etc.). Breakfast is nice and offers plenty of variety, also the restaurant. We really enjoyed our stay at the Funny Lion in El Nido!

Maybe a little noisy with roosters & dogs but thats everywhere in Philippines. Bit traffic noise but nothing too bad. Thought it was beach front for some reason but tjey had a private boat to take you to Papaya Island twice daily.

Room clean, shower was great, breakfast was amazing, liked the glass bottled water refill each day rather than plastic bottles. Beds & Pillows were lush. Easy walk to town for restaurants and daily tours. Staff were always very helpful. They even made us a takeaway sandwich for our early morning flight. The extra touches of bandanas and bracket on leaving was sweet.

Don’t understand the area of scramble eggs or anything done with eggs were located outside of the restaurant I can’t remember the name of the girl on front desk she speaks very well English and was the face of the hotel due to her empathy and knowledge at the moment of asking of places around el Nido CJay lend me money for tok tok cause I didn’t have a little bill. That denote empathy and service Excellent

Swimming pool is in the shade for most of the day

The most amazing staff ever! Beyond expectations. They called us by our names, were super friendly and helpful, even surprised us with free afternoon nuts or ice cream. The tours organised by them were great. The breakfast was totally amazing - I loved the traditional Philippino hot chocolate addition. It was my partner’s birthday and they went above and beyond to make him feel special. You have to stay here!

There’s no elevator. A bit difficult for seniors to be climbing up the stairs to the 3rd floor.

They don’t give you enough information on the private beach, they don’t offer any trips and they hate clearing tables or asking if you would like more drinks. They made a big effort for Easter Sunday with a BBQ buffet, singer and games but they didn’t tell anyone! We thought it was for a private event until a waiter came around everyone at the pool at 4pm asking if we would like to reserve a table. Like us, most had already made plans. If they get their act together it could be fabulous hotel.

Very lovely new hotel in the quieter and nicer end of town. The rooms are nice and comfortable. They gave us a sea view which was on 4th floor (no lift). The staff are lovely but the best thing about this hotel is the private beach. They take you 10mins in van then 10 mins by boat to the hotels private beach. It has a bar, snacks and massage. You can use kayaks and snorkel and even get a picnic lunch from the hotel. No need for any crowded day trips.

Our first night there they put us in rooms facing the road. It was terrible with noise and felt like we were sleeping on a motorcycle race track all night. Needless to say we asked to switch rooms. We were travelling with another couple who were located in an excellent room overlooking the pool on the highest floor and seeing their room and comparing it to our room on 1st floor facing road with that motorcycle noise which is 24/7 was annoying for us, considering we paid the same price. However after complaining they did move us for the next 2 nights. Minor gripe with the move is we arrived late and did not touch the complimentary fruits and juice only to discover when we did move these were not in our new room, on asking about this the staff said it was a one off and on telling them we did not use it in the noisy room they said they would bring some up…we never got it. So this tainted our experience a little. I feel these rooms facing the noisy street should be cheaper if being used as sleep quality and aesthetics are certainly less than rooms overlooking the pool.

The rooms were clean, the pool area was nicely done and breakfast was good.

Not a big deal but there’s no lifts and we were on the 4th floor so prepare for a glute workout

Extremely clean and awesome staff. The room was very comfortable and the tv allowed you to connect to netflix. Was able to get around el nido easily with the help of the front desk ordering cars last minute. Would definitley stay here again if we visit el nido again

Great hotel and outstanding service. Everyone is so nice and makes you feel so welcome. We were always greeted with a smile, and they called us by our name from the very start till the end. The breakfast is delicious, and a great plus is that a shuttle and boat is available to take you to Papaya beach everyday. The beach is beautiful and has few people (pictures attached). We would definitely stay here if we came to El Nido again.
