Their services were superb e.g. they could anticipate the needs of their guests and was ready for the answers/actions to meet the needs. There is always smiles on their faces to greet every guests by their names (a personal touch).

the area behind the faucet in the corners of the sink were dirty but otherwise the room was very clean. the sound of nearby construction was loud during the day but not a concern at night. their “hunt” restaurant had good options but not every dish was tasty. food and drink were also priced a little higher than what you could find in the town. the shower water splashed around the toilet area so that was a bit inconvenient since there’s no shower door.

the facility as a whole was very clean. breakfast always had several options that were very tasty. the staff learned our names quickly and greeted us by name daily. they always had a smile on their faces along with such positive energy. the security and front staff were very accommodating long with the guides that helped us to the private beach. there were no sights of cockroaches thankfully. the hotel was conveniently located 8 minutes from the main town by foot. the best part of the hotel is their complimentary private beach access that includes food. papaya beach was beautiful and being able to use the kayaks for free was so much fun. AC worked very well and the bed was comfy.

Our room backed onto the main road, so it was a little noisy at night and in the morning.

The location was great, the hotel is very nicely finished but the biggest stand-out of this hotel are the staff! Everyone was super friendly, really helpful and just had great attitudes!

Cleaning wasn’t that great and we were in a room next to a construction site. Not soundproof, could easily hear the outside noise.

Overall, the staff demonstrated commendable assistance and friendliness. However, there was a notable exception during breakfast service. The atmosphere appeared chaotic, and there was a lack of clarity regarding the assigned responsibilities for tasks such as serving eggs or managing replenishments for bread and drinks. Despite the presence of a staff member in the vicinity, their standing presence did not contribute to resolving these issues effectively.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The accommodations were excellent, and the staff provided exceptional service. The overall experience exceeded my expectations, making it a memorable and highly recommended choice for future visits. Location was great!!

It was a full beautiful experience that will stay in our minds forever, and not just a normal stay at a hotel. We stayed in El Nido and Coron at Funny Lion and both experiences were amazing. We made best choice ever! Very good location, great customer service, good food, amazing friendly and professional staff. Clean, beautiful rooms, spacious, cozy. The Funny Lion is definitely the top pick in El Nido. How ever I will not be making hotel reservations on Booking.com moving forward since I was put at risk of a phishing scam because Booking.com got hacked. There was zero statement from Booking.com regarding the matter.

Modern and clean rooms and facilities. The onsite restaurant served great food and drinks, plus the hotel had a great breakfast spread. Warm and attentive staff. Downtown was easily accessible on foot.

That they called me to book the way to the airport which I thought it was great but they asked for 750… it’s only 5 km and I had paid 800 to go to Nacpan which is 15 km … I just asked for the tuk tuk and it was just 300 I know hotels have arrangements but for a shared van that amount I thought they were playing me and after all the nice experience that was kinda weird like if you don’t know or don’t do your research they will laugh on your face

I have been suffered a payment fraud through my private chat with the hotel in booking.com and I am still trying to solve it. Also, the transfer to El Nido Airport (which is just 10 minutes away) should be for free. These things make the difference!

The shower got the floor quite wet because it wasn’t draining well - it wasn’t a massive issue though, just a wet bath mat for the stay. There was a mix up with the room number on our laundry, but they found it which gave us confidence that they were in control of it. These are two very minor points though, and apart from this the stay was perfect for us.

The staff were amazing and treated us like royalty. The facilities were clean and really stylish. The room was comfortable with an incredible view of the bay. The food and drinks were really nice in the bar and at breakfast, especially loved the mango shake.
