The amount of bugs took some getting used to at night! No prob.

We were greeted by the staff when checking in even though we were a bit late. They were very thorough and helpful. You’re placed in a group chat where they respond to your requests. Keep in mind they only operate during certain hours. The villa was beautiful! Grounds were clean! Very comfortable both the room, bed, and bathroom! If you don’t like bugs or visitors (ex. Cat, dogs, frogs) then you may be a bit unhappy here. At night they would come out. We didn’t mind being that the common area was outdoors. We were mindful that the light was attracting them over and/or the food we had. They had snacks/mini bar at a cost. The location is in Tawin Tawin away from the main part of Siargao so tuk tuks were more expensive because of the location/hill. Not really a big deal for us, but might be for others who want to walk there (~20 min walk up and down a hill). We were mindful that we if we needed a tuktuk at night we’d have to walk down the hill if their tuktuk contact was unavailable. It was peaceful on the mountain top. The view was great. We did have a blackout (normal occurrence in Siargao) and they were responsive to calm our nerves since they have a generator. There is a security guard and night and he helped us with a certain bug that made it to our room hah! We used Siargao delivery to order food instead of going into town. I would 100% come back here again. Very grateful!

There has been a recent change in management and naturally there are a few minor teething issues, but they were addressed and it definitely wouldn’t deter from recommending the villa to any of our friends and family. Aircon in the living area downstairs would be a suggestion for a future upgrade as it can be hot, even with having all the fans on.

Mango tree was an oasis away from the busy Main Street of General Luna. The living spaces and pool area were wonderful to spend quality time with our friends. Having a freshly made breakfast delivered and set up at our villa was very luxurious. The staff and services provided a memorable stay. Louise was very accommodating and was a friendly and professional host.

It is genuinely difficult for me think about anything that I did not like about this villa. On the second night, my friend asked if his girlfriend and friend were able to stay and arrangements were made for this to happen with friendliness and ease. This we were very grateful for. I have stayed in a large number of different hotels and villas across many different countries but Mango Tree stands very high in this list for its beauty, cleanliness and level of hospitality from the team and is somewhere I cannot wait to return to one day.

Upon arrival my friends and I were kindly greeted by the host and reception team in a manner that we could not have been more grateful for. We were shown around the villa and were told to make ourselves as comfortable as we possible, whilst being offered a lovely complementary snack and drink. The bar was full of a range of food and drink which we had access to through payment and these were renewed after every day that we had used them. Throughout our entire stay we had contact with the hosts via WhatsApp messages, with very quick responses and through this contact we were able to book tours, motorbikes, taxis, takeaway food and have any other questions we needed answered regarding nightlife and restaurant recommendations. In the evening, a list of breakfast choices were offered to us and the following morning breakfast was freshly prepared for each of us and at different times if we each chose to awaken at separate times. My friends and I were simply blown away by this level of hospitality. On the second day of my journey I had an unfortunate accident on a motorbike but the host was extremely helpful in arranging a taxi driver to accompany me all day as I journeyed to the doctors, hospitals and pharmacies over the course of a day. Despite the inconvenience this caused me on my trip, the villa and hospitality of the host and reception team made Siargao a travel destination that will forever stand out in my mind and is now a place I am determined to return to and partly so that I can spend longer than 3 days at this villa!

Any small issues, that always can arise, were quickly and well dealt with. So if you like a warm, personal experience, with privacy and some calm away from the hectic main town, we can't recommend spending time there enough.

We had a fantastic stay at Mango Tree. It was made most memorable by the wonderful team who worked there. They helped to ensure that we had the most fantastic time in Siargao. They organised our airport transfers and a scooter, as well as meals for us on arrival, our breakfasts, and were always on hand to offer great tips, assist with tours, massage bookings and just provide wonderful company and hospitality during our time there. We had the smaller of the two villa's, which was perfect for us. We didn't even really use the second bedroom and ensuite. The setup is great and we spent a significant time at the property, as it was such a nice place to be, which was fortunate as we had a few days of very heavy rain. When it wasn't raining, it was a great launching pad to explore and we toured the whole island. The infinity pool was brilliant, whether it was sunny or pouring - super warm and just the right size. Even when it was raining, it was such a pleasure to sit out in the communal living area, as the air temperature was still very warm. The location was only 10 minutes by scooter to General Luna and we really enjoyed being able to get back to some peace and quiet, within minutes. Breakfast was delicious! Thankyou!

I wouldn’t change anything about it. Yes there are some critters roaming around but what do you expect when you’re basically in a tropical rainforest surrounded by beautiful foliage. They don’t harm anyone anyways.

The property was amaaaaazing! I had to punch myself every morning and sunset to make sure I wasnt dreaming. The view was stunning, the interior deco was simply gorgeous and the staff is really what made this place super warm and easy to enjoy.

The two story accommodation was absolutely breath-taking. We shared Mango Tree with another couple and really enjoyed the downstairs lounge area. The two bedrooms are both upstairs, both have an exceptionally large ensuite. We had a private dinner organised through reception and it was phenomanal. We decided to have a rest day and spend it in Mango Tree to enjoy the serenity. The infinity pool has a beautiful backdrop of the palm trees and provided a beautiful sunset.

There’s nothing however I would suggest a few remarks: Breakfast needs a bit of modification in my opinion, they’re basically the same. A bit of Mediterranean and adding other protein options would be perfect. The en-suite bathrooms need more privacy. The garden infront of the window had bald spots. Considering guests have different cultural/ religious backgrounds, comfort in privacy is very vital.

Hospitable staff, they communicate well and attends to every need/questions. I would like to thank Lolita and Mika for their services. The villa itself was beautifully built. Interior had elements that worked well together. Very therapeutic view and feeling altogether. A retreat I would say after days of tours and activities. Also, they’ve provided us other services (laundry, tricycle rides) for a cheaper rate. Overall, I enjoyed my stay with my sister. The experience was healing and nourishing. We felt safe and cared for thru out our stay. Thank you very much.

Beautiful place to stay at. Stayed here for our last 2 days on the island and it was just perfect. Serene and calm, definitely a place to stay when you want to relax and become one with nature. On our last day we got a bit disturbed by the neighbours and their extremely loud karaoke. Other than that it was perfect. Staff was very helpful and I'm extremely grateful for all their helping me organize my proposal. Thank you again! Food delivery is even possible to the accommodation, which is a big plus!

The fluctuating power and the weak internet. I also suggest adding a microwave, so people can heat-up food faster.

The property itself is very nice. it was breathtaking to see nature at its best from the view of your bedroom. We were out during the day and came back to a clean villa after. Mika, the maintenance staff and security are all very pleasant. This place is superb!

We will be dreaming about our stay forever. Mango Tree is stunning - the property is beautiful, the view is beautiful and you are in a modern paradise! We stayed in Mango tree for 5 nights and the experience was amazing; the photos are exactly what you find everything was super clean and tidy the team in charge is great, super helpful and also respectful there are many options for breakfast and all are super good the house is 10 minutes away by motorbike from the beaches & restaurants which is close enough but enabling to feel the peace and privacy of the forest, the views are brutal. we will for sure repeat!

A bit warm downstairs during the humid evenings, no ac, but can be ok with the windows all open and fans on.
