Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PhilippinesVery chill and intimate. 2 mins walk from the beach, but the place is quiet, away from the bustling beach life. Staff are excellent, very helpful and friendly. Lovely place and lovely service.

SingaporeNothing that I didn't like. It was rainy due to a typhoon and we didn't get to go out to the beach to do much activities but luckily for the nice room and best staff.
Absolutely love the staff. All of them are so accommodating and eager to assist us with sincerity. Felt very welcomed since the first day from check-in till check-out. It was all a really quick and smooth process. Loved the breakfast and welcome drinks. We went to fairways & bluewater hotel after our stay at the strand and I would say that the experience at a small resort is honestly different compared to a big resort. If I return to Boracay in the future, I would go back to the strand for my stay!

We really enjoyed the resort. Just the right ambiance for our family. The staff was amazing. The food was excellent. Our room was very accommodating for the four of us. It was just a short walk from the beach. We will stay there again.

PhilippinesSurrounding areas were really dark at night without lampposts. The beachfront nearby was not really good for swimming and we had to walk a bit to get to Station 1 where the beach was smoother.
The staff were very accommodating with our special requests. The facilities were clean, the room was comfortable and spacious and the breakfast was delicious and filling. The Wi-Fi was good enough for browsing.

PhilippinesNothing I could say here.
It was the best value for money in the island. The room is massive. I do not think I can find any other hotel of this size for its price. I particularly like high ceilings and it's such a plus that the room has ceiling fans because I do not like the AC kept on. The place is unlike the other commercial hotels in the island. It feels very serene and peaceful. I would normally have my breakfast served either in the restaurant or close to the pool. Either way it was always a pleasant experience. I love that I have a very spacious balcony and living room. The view outside the balcony is also too beautiful. The beds are so comfortable. The service was topnotch. I would like to personally comment Mark, Robelyn, Ronnie, and the rest of the staff for making my two weeks stay very memorable. I would definitely go back - to stay or just to dine in the restaurant. The calamari and the stir fried vegetables were so good and I'll definitely have those again! The location is a bit of a walk past Station 1. It is quite easy to go around if you have a motorbike or ride an e-trike. The hotel would gladly call an e-trike driver at your convenience. If you don't want to be amidst the chaos of Station 2 and if you want some peace and quiet at the end of the day, this is the perfect hotel for you. They can also make special arrangements for you if you are with a group and you want to have a nice dinner setup. For those chilly nights you can also have them arrange a nice picnic setup with a bonfire pit to keep you warm. This felt like my second home! <3

PhilippinesThe aircon isnt very cold for 17 deg settings. But there is a ceiling fan both in the bedroom and living room which is ok. There are few lights that needs replacement too. these are just minor improvement so generally the place is good.
I booked 3 suites for 7 family members. The room is spacious and clean. The location of the hotel is in station 1 and quite isolated from saturated area of the island. The hotel is close to local residents in Station 1 and its very safe there too. If you plan to get away from the crowd and want relaxation, this place is for you. Hotel staffs are very nice, helpful, accommodating and friendly. Hotel food is good too. They also also offer “paluto” charged per kilo of raw food. This place is 2 min walk from the beach front and max of 30 min (max) walk to D’mall if you walk along the beach. This place is good for the family.

PhilippinesIt's a bit of a walk to the beach, and if you're quite sensitive, the hotel is right next to the cemetery.
The place and the ambience is perfect for people who wants to be in boracay but want to skip the noise and busy white beach area. The suites/rooms are spacious and they even allow visitors until 11pm, so you can chill with friends anytime. Breakfast options are good and pretty big servings too. All those things are good but I think the gem is their staff, they're very responsive and accommodating.

PhilippinesUmmm, a very slight downside would be the internet. When the gadget it's connected to becomes idle for quite a while it gets disconnected that you have to type in username and password every time (not just connect immediately). But this is very trivial and couldn't complain because their internet is pretty decent in speed (I remember I got to stream a Netflix movie)
Very spacious, high-ceiling rooms. I love the seemingly rustic/dated look of the over-all wood theme of the furnitures in the room (special mention to the ceiling fan!) Breakfast area is by the poolside -- if you are lucky you'd see doves/birds walking around the pool in the morning. These give you such a relaxing, I-am-with-nature mood. Over-all vibe off the place is very private and peaceful with all the greens. Was really looking for that kind of feel as I was traveling solo to primarily relax/destress and have a change of scenery. CUSTOMER SERVICE and CARE are superb. To start, staff offered to walk with me to show the way to the beach stations from the hotel, as this was my first time in their area. Further, general manager went the extra mile in ensuring safety of their guests. On my first night out of the hotel, I had to call him to ask for directions on where to get off the e-trike along the main road so I could walk back to their hotel. I had to ask last minute via phone, because I didn't really expect that it'd get dark early in the island as early as 5:00pm! While I initially walked from hotel to main road (and my numerous destinations), I decided to take public transportation on my way back because I dint feel comfortable walking in the dark alone and I'd get lost not being able to see anything while walking. Anyway, he told me what to say to the driver and when I got-off the e-trike I saw him across the other road waiting for me all along! He walked and show me the way back-- it was more or less a five-minute walk from main road to the hotel, but still I don't think I'd know the directions on my own had he not walked with me.

PhilippinesThe management missed to renovate this property during the lockdown. We booked the Penthouse Suite (the largest, best and most expensive room) and expected that everything will be perfect. What we found was dirty and unfriendly white walls full with unused drill holes, unusable scrap furnitures, noisy wooden floor with many ants living in the grooves. Missing fire alarm device, windows with no glass where insects and geckos are entering the room. The fan on the balcony is broken, next to the stairs a damaged and scary door is greeting the guests. The garden is a scruffy jungle full with construction garbage. The pool has broken tiles and a lose pump cover, the outside toilet is in very bad condition and hardly accessible through the tousands of ants. It is very sad to see that this hotel is on the way to be uncared-for, like many other properties on Boracay. The buffet breakfast is OK but boring, repeating after 3 days. The coffee is awful, better to drink nescafe in the room.
The 6 point rating is only due to the excellent restaurant thanks to the chef kuya Ronald. Super foods and drinks for affordable prices. Very helpful staff, trying to fulfill all wishes. We also received a special cleaning on the first day, because the room was full with dust, dirt and bed bugs.
