How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

No coffee or electric kettle in room. This means you have to walk down and back up 4 steep flights of stairs in the morning each time to get a cup of coffee
Nice big room. AC didn't work too well but it was acceptable.

The breakfast was just instant coffee in a sachet and a piece of bread. The room has very thin walls, so you can hear anything happening in the corridors (we got woken up at 6am by people banging on the doors next to us). There is also no window in the double room (there is one, but it opens to the corridor, so it is unusable because of lack of privacy). Because of this, it is not pleasant at all to stay in the room as there is no natural light. Also, there is NO elevator: if you have mobility issues or are not strong enough to carry your suitcases, you should not choose this hotel.
The staff was very accommodating in giving us a knife and plates to cut our own fruits + use of the fridge to store some fruit. The air conditioning had a quiet modality, so it was possible for us to keep it on all night without freezing or being bothered by the noise. The room has a hot shower.

Near the end of the bed, there is a wooden corner. I tried my best to avoid it but the tip part of it left bruises on my legs. May I suggest to cover the wooden corner of the safety plastic cover to make it kids friendly and safe inside the room.
Staff are very accommodating. We always asked them for directions coz we want to explore Davao City like the local ways. Bread- I was curious about the bread I read on the review. 1 bread and coffee is perfect light breakfast. There are food like noodles or chocolate too.

Almusal. Bread and coffee. Many people, like me are gluten free and can't eat bread. Coffee was kopiko mixed whit coffee and sugar. Öö all people Don't use sugar. Well they give stick of coffee and Milk i need buy there🙄 So that was the free almusal. Hot water and coffee stick. If you use milk. Bring your own, prizes are way high. At room shower was broke.
Room was big and nice. Location very good. Great service. I can easily can back again. Just Know next time bring own almusal😊 There is great Korean restaurant near by fix that proplem.

That it should be breakfast, but it contained only coffee and bread.

The property is very clean. Added to it is the complimentary colors of the rooms (white against dark mahogany) which added to a clean vibe and a lighter mood. The location is perfect for our purpose.

Rooms didn't have fridge or kettle. But down stairs they did have hot & cold water fountain & microwave to use also if you pay 500 peso to can put your stuff in there fridge a staff member informed me.
Close to shops. Not expensive. Staff friendly.
