Location is quite far from restaurants, shops etc. You will either need to rent a motorbike/car. I had some miscommunication with the information desk and the trike they booked for me. i ended up getting charged more than what the reception desk told me it would cost, so I wouldn't recommend getting transport through them. You're better off booking on your own. Other than that, my stay was perfect.

Room was nice, very clean. The bed was also very comfortable and the wifi was super strong.

You do need to get a tuktuk to get to places but that wasn't a problem and we always managed to get one at the door within 10 minutes.

This place is outstanding. The owners and the staff go above and beyond. We cannot recommend it enough, they are so helpful. Great recommendations, even made special pack lunch for our babies. The rooms themselves are impeccable. spacious and comfortable and incredibly clean.

The hotel is about 10 minutes tuktuk ride from a most of the main tourist spots in Panglao. However, we liked the quiet so it was perfect for us, and the staff were always really helpful with arranging transportation and tours etc.

Genuinely couldn’t recommend The Thistle Inn enough. The room is immaculately clean (with clean towels provided daily) and everything is well presented - the bed is super comfortable, all the room facilities are excellent (great aircon, free bottles or water daily). The facilities are fantastic - lovely garden and pool area as well as a bar and restaurant (the breakfast was 10/10). That staff are incredibly friendly and attentive and the family that own the hotel are so accommodating and helpful - nothing is too much trouble. If we make it back to Bohol, we will definitely stay again and recommend it to others.

Location is quiet, away from Alona Beach craziness, but need a tuk tuk or scooter to get anywhere for dinner or to other places.

Breakfast delicious, filling, good coffee. Room spotless, bed comfortable. Nice seating area on balcony. Good clean pool. Chef very good. Helpful owners and staff

The place was cozy, warm and relaxing vibe. The people are very friendly and attentive. They listen to what you need and are very generous with thwir time and service. You will love the homey feels. It’s also near some bigger resorts if uou want a beach experience although their pool was also a great place to chill. They serve good food with generous servings. They will also help you with tours and recreation recommendations. They keep everythinv clean and orderly. They also have a bar and restaurant.

The western breakfast, this isn’t only here we have found it difficult to find anyplace in the Philippines able to make eggs over easy.

This was the best place we stayed so far since our arrival in the Philippines 🇵🇭 Staff was great from the owners to the general maintenance folks. The attention to detail was amazing.

The water pressure in the shower was a bit slow, it was manageable, and the breakfast choices were somewhat limited.

Our stay at their place was very comfortable, and cleanliness was a top priority. The staff was approachable, and my family and I will definitely return to this hotel.

Away from the hustle and bustle of Alona Beach - If. you’re after rest and relaxation , the place is perfect! Owned by a couple, who are hands on in the management of their property, they ensure guests are satisfied. we even got free airport pick up. We came back at 12 midnight from Bamboo Bar and there was a security guard to let us in, no worries.

It was quite far from other establishments but if you are looking for a quiet and peaceful vaca this is the place for you.

The rooms were cozy. Likewise it was clean and orderly. The owners were nice and accomodating. Wifi was strong, streaming is available thru smart tv. Airport transfer was also available thru private car.

There is literally nothing around the hotel. Need transportation to go to restaurants or other places. However , hotel provides bike rental and help with transportation.

after a tiring day visiting places, you get your much deserved rest and sleep in this Inn. our room was very clean, smells good upon entry and big enough to move freely. bed and pillows are soft but firm. the place is located away from a busy road. the owners and staff were well mannered and attentive to our needs. they really make you feel welcome and comfortable. if you prefer to avoid a crowded place to stay, then Thistle Inn is your "go to" .

Amazing hotel with the best staff I have ever met. The hotel staff helped us with all our questions and requests instantly, with car rental, with the purchase of ferry tickets, with a transfer, we felt at home, thank you very much for this! The location was a bit far from the poblacion and there were no other restaurants nearby altho they could call you a tuktuk but cost could add up.

It was the cleanest hotel I’ve stayed in with 5 star facilities; with soft plush towels, great quality toiletries, robes and slippers Chy, the owner, was gracious, helpful and accommodating, even allowed us to use their restaurant table to eat our take away dinner. The garden and pool were well maintained and very clean.
