We recently visited Caltrava which is beautiful but, unfortunately, our stay at Turtle Cove turned out to be a complete nightmare. Firstly, the owners were incredibly rude, and the directions to the resort were confusing at best. Upon reaching the resort only available via a 30-minute boat trip, we were welcomed by two locals who, despite their limited English, expressed genuine concern about our arrival. They urgently asked us to contact the owner, highlighting the absence of any signal or Wi-Fi. It quickly became apparent why – there was no food, no water, and no owner to greet us. To make matters worse, our accommodation was infested with mold, posing a serious health risk. The room reeked of mold, and there were no sheets. Thankfully, one of the locals left the island on a Bangka to get network and call the captain of the boat to come and get us. Without their help, we would have been stranded without essentials and no means of communication due to the lack of signal. The advertised services were a far cry from reality, leading to a deeply misleading experience. The situation was unacceptable, and it's our hope that the owner recognizes the health hazards this poses. The very least would be to warn people. Our advice: Stay far away from Turtle Cove! The conditions are appalling, and the health risks are not worth the visit.

The place is beautiful! And the locals were very helpful.
