Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomBare in mind you're going back to basics - think fan and mosquito net and old fashioned shower and minimal decor. Being directly on the beach this is to be expected and I had more than everything I needed to come back after a long relaxing day on the beach!
Lovely friendly staff who brought us coffee every morning on our porch. Quiet and remote place tucked away from nacpan beach but a easy quick walk to the main beach. Room was very large and comfortable bed! I had a lovely peaceful stay here and the lady helped me get a van to my next location into town and waited with me till the driver arrived.

ItalyThe staff doesn't speak English, so it's tough to communicate. The bathroom is basic - be ready; I'm polite when I say basic. There was not much support in general, and we had to arrange everything by ourselves to organize transfers, rent motorbikes, reserve boat tours, etc. We suggest spending a few days in El Nido to have all the desired boat tours (4 tours, so-called A, B, C, D) and the nightlife. Then, I moved here to spend a few days relaxing, far from noise and people.
The Position is great, super to enjoy some relaxation. We suggest you try at least once in front of the beach, close to the few (but great) fishermen's restaurants. Close to Mad Monkey hostel, where it is possible to meet people, get drinks, withdraw from an ATM and organize some tours. In front of the rooms, in the reserved area, it is possible to get beers and other things for a very cheap price (around 1 Euro) and enjoy them on the beach at sunset. Just remember to keep it clean because it's important to save this paradise from garbage and pollution, and locals don't have any culture or even support from the government to keep it clean. so they have to do it by themselves and not always in the right way.

United Arab EmiratesI believe only the partition needs improvement; I can hear every step from the next door. Overall, it was a positive experience.
The location is excellent, just a minute from the beach and a 5-minute stroll to the main Nacpan Beach, home to prominent restaurants like Sunmai. Ideal for those who prefer a relaxed atmosphere over partying.

Beautiful location right on Calitang Beach, a scenic five minute walk to Nacpan Beach. The owner is lovely and helpful. The rooms are brightly colored and have a private balcony. The property also has tables and hammocks set up on the beach. Perfect spot for sunset.

SpainIt would be great if they also served food. There is not much to do within walking distance, just a few restaurants around to choose from. They serve no breakfast, just hot water and instant coffee. The bathroom is very basic. Shower didn't work and toilet didn't flush, had to use a bucket. Maybe it's fixed by now.
Right in front of the beach. Nice shared space with chairs and hammocks, they sell drinks but no food.

AustraliaThe drainage in the bathroom was not good, there was always a huge puddle left after showering. Would be good to have water refill available on the premises.
Rustic little cottage right on the beach. The location honestly doesn’t get much better. The beach directly out front is lovely for swimming and you can catch beautiful sunsets. The cottage itself is very basic but comfortable enough for a couple of nights. There’s a nice place to eat just a couple of doors down and Nacpan Beach is only a short walk away.

NetherlandsThe area is still quite undeveloped for tourism, but this also means it lacks a few comforts. Also, the walls are pretty thin.
Location at the beach. Reachable from El Nido by scooter, no need for taxi. It's a nice place to explore the north part of the island. Restaurants are mostly a little walk away on Nacpan beach. I liked that the area is still quite undeveloped for tourism, but this also means it lacks a few comforts. The owners are very friendly, the coffee in the morning is nice.

United KingdomIf you don’t mind to experience island’s raw lifestyle in local village then it’s for you.Be aware there’s no hot water and proper running shower, also no air con, just fan. Also saw cockroach in the room.
Right on the beach location! Beautiful sunsets just in the front of the bungalows, short walk to main Nacpan beach but still on the side so it’s much calmer. Host Sarah was absolutely amazing and kind! She was happy to help with everything. She made me feel very welcome:)For few days that I have stayed I really liked the vibe of this place.

United KingdomSandflies , and lots of them. Be sure to bring Repellent.
We read mixed reviews for this place, but we are not sure why. We had a great stay. Firstly, the host ,Sandra, is a lovely lady. She was on hand all the time for anything we needed. I ended up needing to see a doctor, as I was very poorly, and Sandra facilitated all this in less than an hour. An appt with the local doctor (10min drive away), motor bike to get there. I got all the medicines I needed , including an injection, and it didn't cost the earth like some places. Thank you, sandra, life saver. Sandra brought us coffee every morning at 7am and left this on the balcony for us to wake up to. Coffee was also free. Sandra was tidying and cleaning her garden & part of beach out the front every morning, she takes pride in her little piece of paradise. Accommodation is basic, but clean. I'm not sure what people expect for the price, it's a beach hut. If you want all mod cons, go stay at the pricey resorts on Nacpan beach. Great location if you want some peace & quiet, but a really close walk to Nacpan and the mad monkey, but without the noise. There are some lovely dogs at the property, very timid little things, some need food more than others. If you stay here bring some tinned sardines (or you can buy them at the local shop around the corner). Please feed them and give them some water.

United KingdomNo soap in the bathroom. No wifi which is fine but also no reception. Fly net too small for bed so kept coming off at night. Fitted sheet didn’t stay on the bed during the night. Toilet didn’t flush. Asked to arrange moped for 7:30am the following morning and it didn’t come. waited until 8:30am to find the host who then arranged (think she forgot) Host can be hard to find. we often had to walk about 5 mins to get service to call her to arrange something or ask question. some really small adjustments would make this stay much more comfortable.
Nice location right on the beach (not Nacpan beach but very close), washing service available and coffee each morning (although we were forgotten about one morning). Very basic stay but also affordable.

United KingdomNothing.
Great location. Basic but clean accommodation Quiet beach next door to the Nacpan shenanigans. Nice friendly local places to eat a long the beach. It's a fisherman's beach, so don't expect pristine white sands. The sunsets are amazing. 30 minutes away from but a million miles away from the El Nido mayhem. Only regret we didn't stay longer.
