How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Really nice and clean rooms, comfy beds and super close to the airport. There is breakfast at the hotel and across the street there is a 7-eleven, a cafe and some restaurants. The staff is friendly and helpfull, they organize free transport to the airport.

Noisy hallways.
My recent stay at Vivien's Hotel in Mactan Island was largely enjoyable, with its close proximity to the Mactan-Cebu International Airport being a significant advantage. The complimentary airport shuttle service was a key factor in my choice and it proved to be very convenient. The room's ambiance was particularly impressive. It was well-decorated and maintained to a high standard of cleanliness. The highlight, however, was the bed, which was extremely comfortable and contributed greatly to a good night's sleep. The shower also stood out for its strong water pressure, offering a refreshing experience. I appreciated the range of facilities and amenities available,, including food options, and the staff were both friendly and helpful, enhancing the overall pleasant atmosphere of the hotel. However, my stay was slightly impacted by the noise level in the hallways during the night, possibly due to my room's proximity to a staff maid's closet. This was a notable disturbance in what was otherwise a peaceful setting. Overall, my experience at Vivien's Hotel was positive. The combination of a comfortable room, excellent service, and the convenience of being near the airport made for a satisfying stay. I would recommend this hotel to travelers seeking a comfortable stay close to the airport, with the caveat of potential noise in the hallways.

Wifi wasn't great. Breakfast selection could have been better.

There is no socket near the bed stand.
I like how nice and friendly the employees were. I like the location of the hotel which was near 7/11 and airport. And I like the room which cand with makeup table, hot water and bed lights on the end of bed frame. I would highly recommend this place!

The only thing I noticed , don’t have enough toilet roll, there’s no bath mat to dry your feet after taking shower.

Excellent bedding & comfortable beds, good location for lapu lapu city & Airport. Free one way airport transfer. Areas to relax in lobby or outside terrace Mini fridge was useful. Soap, shampoo & toothbrush provided.

In the middle of the city, malls, supermarket 24 hours , pharmacy and a-lot of restaurants just around the hotel. Very kind staff, free shuttle from and to the airport. They prepare for us a specific food for breakfast and accept our culture. Very clean and cute hotel. Close to the airport 15 min - 25 min with traffic

Very clean, nice bed, it had a lot of stuff in the room(towels, air dryier, water, tea and coffee, good air conditioner, nice toillet) very good breakfast and also a shuttle to the airport, I think it was the best/value for money hotel in all our stay in the Philippines
