Staying outside the main party area of town should have accommodated nice peaceful evenings on the patio listening to nature and the ocean waves but unfortunately the Reef Beach Resort next door insists on loud live music each night until 11pm. The aspiring DJ on Tuesday night was the worse, the live vocal music the other nights not so bad. In all fairness this is the party area of the island of Siargao so absolute peace and quite should not be expected anywhere in the General Luna area.

This is the perfect location just north of the main part of downtown. It walkable to town, but a motorbike rental is highly recommended and can be arranged by the staff here. Right on the water (not a swimming beach) with gorgeous views from comfortable patio chairs from every room here. Family run - they live here on the property and they are good and genuine people. There are much cheaper and much more expensive options in the area. If this hotel is within your budget, I feel like its a great value and you won't be disappointed. Fast and reliable wifi. Very nice shaded roof deck for breakfast each morning and to get some remote work done if you need to.

I absolutely LOVED this place! By far one of, if not, the best stay I had in my two months in the Philippines. Geraldine, Doug, and staff are the kindest of people and go above and beyond to ensure you have the most pleasant stay, whether you want peace and quiet or are up for an adventure. This is a gorgeous property conveniently located along the main road, perfectly situated in between two popular spots on the island, General Luna town and Cloud 9. The property is very convenient, yet the rooms are quiet and peaceful. There's eight total rooms, each room has an amazing beachfront view with a breathtaking sunset to wake up to every morning. The rooms are perfect, clean and modern and have everything you could need or want: amazing view, great natural light (there's also blackout curtains if you prefer to sleep!), comfy bed pillows and sheets, functioning fan and AC, TV with streaming services, desk area, mini fridge, closet space to layout your clothes, a spacious shower and bathroom with hot water, very reliable WiFi (I worked remotely the entire time, zero issues!). There's a gorgeous pool on property, green grassy areas throughout, delicious breakfast to enjoy on the rooftop level, motorbikes available for rental, trikes drive right past the resort so it's easy to catch one anytime, gated with security guard on-duty (although, I felt completely safe the entire time as a solo female traveler! but a nice touch). You can have your laundry done that's usually ready the next day for a minimal fee. You can even get a massage in your room, on your private balcony/patio, or beachfront under the stars and palm trees like I did (truly a dream!). And the masseuse was great, too. I felt so at home and welcome here. I am very grateful to have stayed here and to have met everyone that I did, both the staff and fellow guests. I will definitely be back. My dad had a trouble connecting to the wifi and send emails.

Everything was perfect. The rooms were all nice and clean with a great view. We also enjoyed swimming in the pool. All the staffs were extremely helpful and patient despite all our demands 😅 Ate Geraldine was very accommodating and responsive to all our questions and requests. We booked all our activities through her! Overall, we had a lovely stay and we were all very satisfied. It was the first time we travelled as a complete family and glad we stayed at Woody’s. Highly recommended.

This beautiful waterfront resort has a very good location… a short trike ride to Gen. Luna beach, very accessible to some restaurants & few minutes drive to other major sites. The property is very clean & well maintained. Every morning, we enjoyed watching the spectacular view of the sunrise from the balcony of our room. And most importantly, what we like best are the friendly & thoughtful staff especially their manager Gigi. What a team of wonderful people…. very helpful & hospitable. They were so accommodating making us feel so welcome & at home from day one. Our flight arrived in the morning , several hours before the standard check in time, but we were allowed to check in early with no additional charges. We like it so much here that on our last day, my daughter & I don’t want to leave yet … wish we could have stayed longer. Overall, our 4 day/3 night -stay was a memorable & enjoyable experience. For sure , we will come back to Siargao & would love to stay here again. We highly recommend this place to family & friends. Many many thanks Gigi for your kind & generous hospitality and for sharing with us your delicious cooking… we will not forget this. . Also thanks a lot to your efficient staff. You are all awesome. We stayed at Woody's for 4 nights in February and had an amazing time. Our stay at Woody's was the highlight of our time on Siargao. Here is why: *The staff are all lovely and happy to help in any way. *The location is perfect - it is close to all the action (we borrowed bicycles to ride to Cloud 9 and to some nearby restaurants) *There were lots of options at breakfast and they were all delicious. *The facilities are great - we loved waking up to the view of the sea and it was nice to go between the pool and being seaside. We definitely recommend staying here and will stay again if we return to Siargao.

Amazing location, great staff, spotless rooms. In the centre of town close to all the surfing waves and restaurants. Felt like a luxury resort, unlike anything else on Siargao. Fast WIFI and great breakfast. Surf spot right in front so you can wake up, watch the sunrise and watch the surfers. The hotel owner was delightful and helped with scooter rental, restaurants, and welcomed us like family. As a frequent traveller I can truly say that Woody's checks all the boxes.

The location was great.The owners Doug and Geraldine went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. When we need a car or motorcycle to rent, she organizes it immediately. They even invite us to join them for the New Year celebration. There we so much drinks, food,cakes exct.I will definitely recommend to stay there. The staff was excellent. Even the Labrador MOJO is very friendly and playful.

My family chose Woody's Place, as it is brand new, just opening in April of 2023. The property is situated between the town of General Luna and the Cloud Nine Surf Break. We preferred this location as it is walkable to both the center of town and the surf break, but not in the center of town, which can get quite busy and loud. Woody's Place property extends from the main tourist road, all the way to the ocean. It is a very private property and is meticulously maintained. We loved that everything is new and every room offers ocean views. The large pool is situated between the building and the road and offers a peaceful oasis to chill after a day surfing and exploring the town. There are also kayaks and a SUP for use. The owners of the property are incredibly kind and warm. They live on-site and are available to help accommodate special requests. They helped us secure a car rental, which was important for our family of 4 to reach other parts of the island with multiple surfboards and kids in tow. The breakfast was incredible too. Breakfast was included in our rate. We enjoyed custom cappuccinos fresh fruit and croissants each morning. There were other food options, including yogurts, eggs, and waffles. After carefully sifting through the numerous options in General Luna, I am quite convinced we landed at the best oceanfront resort. General Luna was a huge surprise. It has quite the foodie scene and offers numerous food options and high food quality. It reminds me of the food scene in Tulum, MX but even better,

Very nice hotel, great location, close to everything but also very peaceful so you can definitely relax. All rooms have seaview. Facilities and grounds are well maintained. Gigi and staff took very good care of us. Definitely recommend this as a place to stay in Siargao. We enjoyed the breakfast on offer. On New Year’s eve, we also got invited to a little get-together and celebration, which was great.

The breakfast choices could have been greater, especially given all the amazing options for breakfast/brunch nearby. But as it’s all home cooked to order I can understand it being a small menu, and taste and quality were great.

In a great location close to bars & restaurants, also 6 min drive to cloud 9 beach with a scooter. Room was super comfortable and clean, facing onto the sea so lovely views. The staff were exceptional, anything we needed was dealt with immediately and they were so friendly. Would definitely stay here again and recommend!
