Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaI think it's important to mention that there's a beautiful hanging bridge to get to Zhaya's. Honestly, I was horrified at first when we saw we need to cross it with our carry on luggages ( luckily we didnt bring the normal luggages). Luckily our driver helped us to carry them. But when we got to the place all my dissappointments vanished when I saw our bungalow. It's all worth it! I cant get over it. Simple, private and most of all.... steps from the beach Awesome. I'm glad I chose this place from among so many many accomodations I checked.
We like eveything. The place, the beach...breakfast. there's only one suggestion I would like to make. It's really bare inside the hut, no place even a tiny table to put down your cell phone and medications at night before going to sleep. Maybe the owner can provide a little nite table That would be helpful. Everything else is fabulous starting from Alex who was always attentive on all our needs and request. Vicky, the lady owner is the sweetest. You can book everything with them including island hopping tour and even those side day trips are possible through Vicky's husband who will take you anywhere with his tricycle. For a fee of course. We recommend this place for those who loves quietness and close to the beach. We had the best 3 nights listening to the big waves. It was music to our ears. We had the best fondest memories which we treasure. Already talking about booking the place on our next visit to El Nido.

AustraliaNothing we didn’t like as was experience we were after. Not to other travellers that you need to access via a foot bridge and bathroom facilities are simple. Need to access atm if you want to pay for food drinks, which is located in the village before the school.
Cute little huts directly on the beach, providing access to a beautiful beach. Friendly and accommodating family owned staff who were so helpful and cooked beautiful food.

United KingdomIt was a little too far from El nido in hindsight but it was lovely!
Our stay felt very personal due to the fact that all of the staff were exceptionally attentive and friendly throughout our stay. The hut was clean and cosy with everything we needed to be comfortable. The resort is small so it felt very relaxing and peaceful. Having the beach only a few steps from our hut was the Cherry on top!

Very friendly staff and happy to help when needed. Just ask them for any transportation needed and they will help you sort it out. Weather or may be motorbike rental or a tricycle. They serve amazing food. Nice location near El Nido. Perfect if you want to get away from all the tourists. Mostly just locals on the beach you can interact with. Basically beach to yourself.

IndiaI can see how so many guest have loved the experience of staying here as it gives them a sense of living within a fishing community. however, we felt that property and rooms are not of the standard you expect while you travel to an international destination like El Nido. the rooms are really tiny and bed is very small and not enough for two people. there is literally no space to keep even a bottle in the room. the washroom is tiny and water flow is very slow. we could have adjusted with all this but the biggest turn off was the litter and garbage on the beach during low tides. We had to leave just after a day though we had plans for 3 days. however. the cafe next door is world class and serves some amazing food.
I guess the staff is best and they do everything with a happy face. always willing to ensure the guest is feeling good.

AustraliaI’ve been traveling for 8 years in total (mostly hostels and recently hotels) and I’ve never written a review before but this place in my eyes shouldn’t be a hotel, the staff are lovely but the place as a whole is terrible there was no room to put your bags cottage, the mosquitoe net had holes in (which I got bitten really bad). the electricity didn’t work from 12am-5am which made it hard to sleep. plus getting to the cottages is hard you have to walk over a bridge to get the and the locals definitely didn’t like that there where tourists in there village. so I wouldn’t recommend it, I don’t understand how the it has such a high rating. we ended up checking out a day early. I’d recommend just to stay in the town of el Nido and get a scooter to travel around

Australiathe bed mattress was very thin and had the corner cut off so you can open the door. room was very very small, good for one person or a couple for one night. shower pressure was so low that you couldn’t shower without holding the shower head (aka when it was in its holder the water just trickled down)
beautifully located on the beach, eating breakfast looking out was amazing. the huts from the outside looked gorgeous

RomaniaWe enjoyed staying there and we highly recommend it. The room, the terrace and the beach are amazing. The owners and the staff are very friendly. The booked for us the tour we needed it, they cooked for me something what wasn't in the menu, they even call to our next accommodation (in Puerto Princesa)to make sure that they will book the tour we wanted. They pay attention to what we wanted, they saw we like to drink coffee and that's why they gave us coffee every time without asking. They came with us when we wanted to rent a bike to make sure that everything it's going well. We received shampoo and soap in the room. We had the feeling that we were in a magical place. In the morning we had so nice visitors- very beautiful jellyfish. Even if I am still afraid of the hanging bridge, I would like to go there again. Thank you very much to all of you for making our stay so pleasant.

FranceBe aware that there is not much to do in the area. The tricycles leave you at the hanging bridge (and then it's a 5 min walk to reach the accommodation). Only a couple of places to eat/drink outside Zahya's. Duli beach is accessible by walk (lovely although quite a hike and more if a surf spot), and it'll take you a solid 45min to reach Nacpan beach with a tricycle.
The accommodation is located in Bucana, 30km north of El Nido, and passed the surprise of how remote this place was (we had not done our homework properly and thought we were booking something in El Nido town, not El Nido province) we really enjoyed our stay. The bungalows are small but clean, the location is pretty quiet (bar the geckos and roosters), the food was good and the family owning the place is very kind and helpful.

SpainNo internet, no cleaning service, the staff doesnt speak english, the breakfast is so poor, food is simple and expensive, there's no silence, always dogs barking and roasters singing all night long. No air condition, and the location is too far from the center and the access is so difficult.
Nothing at all. At the beginning, i thought it was in the paradise, but finally became a nightmare.
