How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

if i am booking through online. booking app ..and due to any reason my flight is cancel than you must refund my dues.....i wasted my one day money because my flight cancel and hotel didn't pay back my one amount. Their must be change in rules via booking.com, it is not travellers mistake not follow the stay regulations like flight cancellation can damage travellers image regarding hotel goodwill.
Location was good, no issue. Breakfast was was good no issue. Room was also good no issue. hope you efforts will continue and travellers will enjoy during their stay at hotel. But not through booking.com because due to booking.com my one day amount wasted.

Carpeted floors are old, dirty and smell of damp. Since the balcony exit door is glued, the room air cannot be refreshed.

I had a horrible experience while checking and checking out . I had to pay $250 out of pocket while checking out due to miscommunication from a staff member . The manager could have handled the situation differently instead he asked us to pay up and did not provide any other options

Second time I have stayed here and the rooms smell moldy and musty. probably some problem with the air conditioning system or simply they have never been properly aired. this really affected my sleep and allergies very badly.
It’s a reasonably new hotel with good eating options. Rooms are not too bad.

Staff are not cooperative, like to charge you more. I was at the counter they said we are full while i book online and suddenly they have enough rooms. Room are not maintained, bad room service

1. Bedrooms are old and tired and need a refurbishment, altho everything works fine 2. The grounds of the hotel are very limited to go for a walk etc compared to other similar hotels in area
1. Centrally located within easy reach of all areas 2. Helpful staff from airport transfer to room service, valet, housekeeping 3. Excellent variety of good food from breakfast to dinner both in-room and restaurant 4. Very large lobby area to relax

The building is old and all the tiles and fixtures need renovation,

The hotel facilities and infrastructure needs to be upgraded. Not a 5 star hotel by any means. Not value for money by any means.

Bathrooms need more cleaner. Hair where in shower drains, air vents where moldy and bidet had mold all over its hose.

The facility is quite old, you may feel as if you are staying in a very old hotel. Very old style and old fashioned

I guess this time around the hotel was overbooked because I asked for an iron on my last day and my request was not catered to for a good 45 minutes, in the end I had to leave without ironed clothes.
I always stay at Mövenpick whenever I go to Karachi. The rooms are decent and the hotel is very centrally located.

Air conditioning system has no temperature control and my room was extremely cool at 19 degree. I adjusted the thermostat at 26 but it never worked in spite of my lot of efforts. I had miserable night and forgot to inform at reception about this problem.
Staff is highly cordial and cooperative.

Amount charged / shown via booking.com was in USD and with USD rate. Why local currency is not an option? Amenities perticularly towels were old and wornout. Why? 5 star Hotel, charging 5 star prices should have 5 star Amenities. Amenities provided were one person only Food was less flavourful
