Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Greecewo minor problems: When i arrive at the room, there was only onw towel for 2 person. I call thw host at 5 p.m to ask for one more and althought he was willing and polite to help me and promise me that he would leave at my room door thw towel, nothing happened. I came back at midnight and there was no towel. I called them again and after 10 minutes they brought me this towel. Another problem was that 3 out of seven (i am not sure about number) sockets was not working.
t was at a perfect location at the heart of the old city. Room (name princess 1 i think) was spacious and exaclty like the photos. Tasteful decoration, big comfortable bed, clean and totally a very value for money choise. Floor heating, big closets and new bathroom.

United KingdomI didn’t like only one thing: there was no fridge in the property but to be fair me and my friends were not bothered by that but I can understand it can be a problem for anyone else.
The property is in the heart of the old town, so you are basically right in the city centre. The property was amazing and the bed was very comfortable. Staff was always there to help you and if you arrive before the check in time, you can still leave your luggage in the storage area.

United KingdomWas told there was a dbl bed and a sofa-bed. But there wasn't a sofa-bed. Just bedding brought over to use on the sofa. Shouldn't be described as sofa-bed. Which would be very different.

United KingdomWe didnt like that the apartment was super small. There were no coffee, sugar, cutting board or teatowel.
The apartment has a superb location, 5 min away from the market square and 5 min from the Wawel castle. There is a shop, coffee shop and very nice bar mleczny (a type of cheap plish food restaurant) on the door step. There are some beautiful rustic features in the rooms, like wooden joices, hanging carpets, oldfasioned crockery or even glass floor.

LithuaniaWe had to walk from the main office to the apartments around 10-15 mins. And we've received printed notes how to get there and how to find it. It was a bit tricky in the dark and we were very tired after 5 hour drive. So orientational game how to find your room was not the best for me to solve at this point. Also one side of the bed was very uncomfortable to sleep on. Mattess is worn out so we could feel something like a plank.
Room is beautiful, location is great, right in the city centre

PolandThe bad mattress was rather stiff and uncomfortable to sleep on. Before the quiet hours, streets of Old Town can be very loud. Every evening, I heard at least one group of tourists or locals were drunk singing as they were walking past.
Apartment is located in the very center of Krakow's Old Town. Lot's nice cafes and restaurants nearby. The Royal Castle is just 10 minutes walk away. Several beautiful Cathedrals can be found nearby too.

PolandCleanliness is always a priority for me. And it was a bit substandard, especially for this price. From some black mold (I guess) lines in the shower, through kitchen facilities, to bed lined that was really worn out.
The location is really good. Also the place is really nice looking overall, kind of impressive (even though it was not the one we saw pictures of and actually selected.)

DenmarkThe room was very dusty and dirty. The floors we’re full of hair. The plates and the glasses we’re disgusting, they don’t seem to clean them well before new tenants are due. The shower cabin is an absolute example of how a property manager should not treat his guests. The shower heads we’re filled with lime, and the water was gathering at the bottom of the cabin because of the amount of hair clogging it, absolutely disgusting. The property manager is an absolute pain to deal with, only offering different expensive services, but he is NEVER answering to the messages of phone calls. And yes, we have forgotten something in our room when we left, and after many tries, he absolutely refused to send it to us (of course we would of paid for it), only responding to the Booking representative that he is very busy.
Location is good.

United Kingdomwe planned to stay for 3 nights. However, we left this property abruptly after 1 nights sleep as it was dirty ( unclean walls and bed sheets. Holes in the towels), the noisiest place I ever stayed ( didn’t even get one hours sleep as right outside the window people were singing and shouting all night up until 5am) and lastly when I asked for a refund for the two nights we haven’t stayed I got no response. I was messaging back and forth instantly and getting response and the minute I mentioned the issue and refund they cut communication. Extremely dissatisfied with the customer service. We came to relax after 16 hours of traveling and we’re met with the impossible.
