How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The only thing that is negative - no lockers for your shelf, you need to buy a locker for 15 zloty on reception. But basically it's not too much)
Hostel is big, 4 floors - keep this in mind if you are looking for something small and cozy. It's situated just in the city center, the bus line is just nearby. Beds are wooden, with curtains, liked them very much. Kitchen has everything you need, dining room is big and comfortable.

Only the dust on the shelf.
Location is perfect for the old city exploration, close to restaurants, public transport. It is very clean (except a shelf above bed where the half closer to the wall was very dusty). We got towels which we did not expect.

It's the Ryanair of the hostels. You have to pay for everything to want: breakfast, towels, luggage storage... It's against what the hostels tries to inspire and makes the stay not that value per money (seems like they try to squeeze the money out of you). Only two bathrooms in the corridor is not enough.
Excellent location, in the old town (close to everything touristic) and in a very beautiful street. Really comfortable bunk beds (one of the best of all the hostels I've stayed). Nice and helpful people at reception. Clean and big rooms and bathrooms Also, the bar/dining room at the top floor is a must to meet new people/make new friends. The kitchen is big, new and have everything you need. It's like cooking at home.

everything was perfect except they were charging for using the luggage room which was annoying and against the hostel spirit. after all, we shouldn't make money out of everything.

There were only two showers (one a combined shower room and toilet for disabled access) in my corridor. One was always free when I needed it, but it might be tricky at peak times of the day and when the hostel is full. The upper bunks are open at the top which negates the curtain quite a bit for blocking out light.
An excellent value stay. The hostel is brilliantly located in the Old Town. The dorm and public areas were clean and tidy, and the beds all had fully closing privacy curtains. There’s good space on the top floor to relax and meet other travellers.

You should change kitchen equipment. All the pans are old and damaged. Some plates are damaged too.
The location is perfect. It's very quiet hostel. It was half empty. It's not a party hostel for sure. Clean. It has a nice common area.

The localisation is great and the hotel is clean. They have an ironing room which was a requirement for us. Really nice space for a short stay in the capital :).

The hostel was a very good location, not too far to walk into old town. It was also clean and comfortable, the bathrooms were cleaned and restocked all throughout the day and the kitchen facilities were very good. I asked to change to a bed closer to the fan (one ceiling fan per room) and I was able to change which was helpful and helped me sleep better.

The hostel is perfect, I loved everything. - the location is perfect, there is a bus stop with a direct bus to the airport just in front of the hostel. Also, there is a restaurant downstairs with traditional food, and the whole "old town" in 2 minutes from there. - everything was clean and tidy. - the bed had a curtain, a personal lamp, and 2 sockets. - breakfast is affordable and very tasty.

There was nothing to not like :)
Very clean and spacious hostel with drying area and common room, located on the best street in Warsaw next to a fabulous donut shop. Signage in the hostel led us to a free walking tour of Warsaw. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hostel

They charge to leave the luggage in the luggage room. Before it was more hostel vibe now all they care about is $$$. Staff is average

Not like king or disliking but it will be appreciated if they change the menus of breakfast and dinners instead of same menus everyday
This is my second visit on the same hostel and I felt exceptional so I visited second time
