How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

I like the curtain of the bed which provides privacy for guests living in shared room. Also, the location is perfect, just on the main street of the old town!

The towel renting price too high 16 zlotych. Apparently you have to pay to leave your lugagge... The lack of coffee in the morning! they run out of coffee for breakfast, which sucks cos It was supposed to be included in the breakfast price. The blond guy at the bar on the Saturday night shift was not the nicest...
I loved the location, in the middle of the old town near all the bars and restaurants. It was clean and neat, the room and roomates were quiet and educated, and it was a comfortable stay. The girl at the reception on Saturday night shift and the girl at the bar on Sunday morning shift, were very nice and helpful, both of them. The breakfast was good and plenty but you can get cheaper outside. All in all I confirm it is a safe and comfortable stay. *take your small locker if you want to keep your belongings locked in the shelf, otherwise they sell it at the reception. I loved the fact they have a bar inside. Even though the hostel is in the centre and there is a bar inside, no worries it is quiet as the doors and windows look like noise proof, I had no issue with the noise.

This was my second stay and the hostel is very nice. Right in the old town, facilities are great and staff are very nice.

Great hostel, location is superb, steps away from shops, cafes and landmarks. It is a very social place, the lounge room is very comfortable, well equipped bar, kitchen and laundry room. Met great people there.

I have no complaints. I did not like the idea that leaving luggages at locker room is hourly charged. Also rather than 3rd party apps like booking, reserving from their direct website may save you an amount of money- depending on the season. Better ask receptionist for double checking their direct rates
Location is fantastic for first time visitors, cabin structure of beds with curtains provides a feeling of privacy, as well as a long night sleep. Chargers, plugs and reading light are in your bed cabin. Also card entrance for rooms and floors is a great measure for security. But still if you want an extra security for your belongings, you can use lockers in room

Number of showers and toilets, there are only 2 we had to wait like 30 minutes untill our "neighbours" have finished showering
The price and that it have fulfilled our needs. It is very close to the old town.

1 bathroom for 3 shared rooms, it might be more.
Just a perfect hostel. Perfect location just in the old town, very comfortable beds with curtains which provides privacy, good people and good social area. The staff let me do check in 3 hours ago, they were very helpful.

only slight downside was a small sewer smell when first entering after being out all day, not sure if the drains outside were great, but soon sorted with the window open for 5mins.
absolutely perfect location, staff are so friendly and welcoming. room was basic but thats all you really want - very clean linen etc, nice little bathroom.

The shared bathroom had a lot of humidity.
The location was amazing, there are a lot of restaurants near and you have only 5 minutes walking to the center.
