How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The appartment should be renovated. But its still nice.

The apartment we were given was not what we expected from seeing the photos. From the bunch of beautiful photos of the apartment we were under the impression, that we are going to get a newly decorated luxury apartment. But we got an old-fashioned, very used-looking apartment. It wasn't impossible to live in by any means, but just not what we expected.
The location of the apartment is perfect. Secured, nice entrance. The place itself had everything you could need for a pleasant stay. There was a lovely balcony/patio in the kitchen.

There was no air conditioner. And that is a problem in summer. There was one portable fan, which didn't work. It was quickly swapped for a working one, thanks to staff. But one fan is not enough for people staying in both rooms.
Great helpful staff, location and facilities. We were kindly allowed to check out slightly later and leave our luggage for a while. Many thanks 😊

Nothing that I could remember! :)
Location was excellent, right in the center of the city. It was the perfect spot for me! I would also like to thank the staffs, especially for the kind guide how to use the parking! It was often hard how to get in the parking lot, and had difficulty getting the keys for the garage and the house, but this place were kind enough to explain in details!!

There was an issue with checking in. We had to wait for about 10 minutes, and when we were able to go to our apartment, we got a phone call saying it still wasn't ready. Had to wait an extra 20 minutes. It was a little frustrating, but we did get breakfast for free.
Very clean and secure. Staff was friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend staying there

We had a hard time with the AC and generally slept with our windows open at night when it was cooler. Each room has a fan by the bed, so I suspect management knows the AC isn’t the best and adjusted.
Really nice apartment. Spacious with 4 bedrooms so our group never felt crowded. Has a full bathroom and a half bathroom, which was useful. Small balcony that we sat on at night.

No additional bags for trash. Not very convenient first to check in(if guest came by car) then drive again one circle round and then come back to the parking.

We had trouble finding the reception desk at night, the room interior was very old, we expected more modern furniture like the pictures we saw on booking.com.
The location was great and also the staff, very helpful, good english and service oriented, the apartment is big enough for 3 travelers.

Everything was good. Only thing to keep in mind is they take a deposit upon arrival (for any possible damages)and return it after checkout. But I wouldn’t consider it a negative
Everything was perfect. Comfy beds, a lot of space, nice balcony, all needed equipment, great location. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.
