Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyThe only thing, that has not been so perfect, was the bed. Uncomfortable and with a large washed-in stain on the blanket. Not a big problem. I just would say, it could be better.
A great place to stay. Excellent restaurant. Impressive buildings. Nice region for a hike.

PolandGood breakfast although could have more offer
Hotel very well integrated in a historic building, in this case a monastery, example of this are the common areas such as corridors or restaurant. Excellent accommodations, large and well decorated rooms, super comfortable beds and pillows. Beautiful indoor pool and spa and gardens where is possible to eat, or just relax at the sun. Very friendly and helpful staff.

FranceThe fitness center could be better indicated, as the inside of the hotel (cistercian monastry) is a bit of a maze. I had to ask for someone to bring me there.
The hotel is fantastic in terms of architecture. The outdoor is layout is great and I only wish I could have arrived earlier to enjoy this place under the sun. The fitness center is amazing with many equipment available. The breakfast is very good and the choice here is amazing. And the pool, the pool... I was travelling for business but I would love to come here and stay for vacation !

LithuaniaIt was warm in the room during the night and does not appear that air conditioning is available in the rooms. We kept the window open. It was occasionally difficult to communicate as not all staff spoke English.
Absolutely LOVED our stay!! The rooms, services available such as pool and spa, the program for kids, and the charm of the interior design matched with the historic exterior were fantastic! The music tower was a hidden gem that turned into a highlight for us. Our breakfast was excellent. The variety of food offered was outdone only by the excellent taste! As a parent, the thought by management/staff to create a small table filled with kid-friendly food and fruit (pre-cut to the appropriate sizes) including plastic utensils, cups, and plates was genius! As a family, we decided that we will definitely return and stay for multiple days and nights.

United Kingdomwas a warm few days when I was there and rooms had no air conditioning. it wasn’t to bad with the window open but if it was a hot summers day, it might be different. Also maybe because I booked through a different company but I had a small room yet paid more then some of my friends who had bigger rooms and suite’s.
Was a beautiful old historic former Monastery, yet the rooms were very warm, modern and clean. The location was lovely and very picturesque in the countryside.

PolandOnly very minor things: * Neccesity of payment for Poll game * The fact that parking places were under "messy" tree (my car need immediate wash after leaving it for a night) and that no one has warned us about this
* Great location in old monastery * Really helpful staff, especially in the restaurant * Ability to (cheaply) rent quite good mountain bikes in prime condition * Delicious breakfasts * Very good restaurant with nice selection of locally-brewed beers * General kid-friendliness

PolandI liked everything
The hotel is located in a medieval monastery designed to meet the modern expectation but retaining the original atmosphere of this place. All details are shaped very carefully. Latin inscriptions on the walls, monastic chants in the background, in many places original medieval walls preserved. Very good service, excellent breakfast, wonderful surroundings. Many options for walking, hiking kayaking, cycling. Nice swimming pool.

United Stateslunch was mediocre, also the fact that there was no security even though the place is open to public (since there's a 12th century church there) was a bit odd. not that we didn't feel safe there, but since the place is so upscale I think having a uniformed guard wouldn't hurt. It wouldn't hurt to have the food labels in different languages. I would also make the bathrobes look like monk dresses with the hoodies - to add to the mystery of the place. we went in there in July and tried to sit outside at night (around 10pm) and have a beer. we had to give the idea up because of the mosquitos, which were pretty annoying.
the location is interesting because it's kind of in the middle of nowhere. you get there and your jaw drops. the whole area is very well thought-out and planned. there's even a playground for the kids. what i liked: ample parking, ability to drive inside the walls and drop off/pick up luggage. the decor makes you really think you're in a mysterious place - the chants add to it a lot! the room was small, but had everything we needed - plus once you're there you don't want to stay in your room! the saunas are amazing, so is the pool and hot tubs. we rented bikes and took a 15-min ride to the Zalew Sulejewski - a beautiful artificial lake with a lot of fish and a picturesque landscape. the breakfast was great - plenty of choice and they had 1 liter cups for folks that like to drink a lot of coffee in the morning. the staff was very friendly and professional. a few times they went beyond their duties to accommodate our requests. I like the fact that you could taste the local mead in there. We also liked the fact that we could attend a mass in the legendary church (7:30am daily). I liked the fact that they tested the water in the hot tub right in front of me. I liked the little nooks and crannies, where you could just rest and read or (hopefully not) work. we liked the backyard with lounge/beach chairs spread out right on the lawn.

United KingdomPrivate functions took over main restaurant and bar (and even breakfast room) on 2 of the 3 nights. Thus only small dining room on 3rd floor available for guests. Disappointing alternative and indifferent service. Marquee outside room had loud music until 02:00am and boisterous party attendees shouting in corridors even at 04:00am. Left a day early as unprepared to be regularly woken up. Change of ownership since last visit seems to have made conferences/events the main raison d'etre of the hotel.
Well appointed and spacious room. Easy parking and helpful receptionists.
