I always struggle with the Wifi signal in the rooms, elsewhere in the hotel its fine and excellent in the bar which is a good excuse for working from there.

Wolsztyn is world famous for its steam locomotive hauled train services which even in 2023 are just about still hanging on (with the odd week off for routine maintenance) the Kaukaska has been my handy place to stay for a few years now. Located just a few minutes short walk from the railway station and the town this is a handy well presented hotel with decent rooms. I've stayed a few times but this is the first time I have been able to book through Booking.com .Comfortable beds, complementary water, desk, chair etc (varies by the size of room). Small bathroom with decent shower. I've been in winter and it was very cosy. There is a decent restaurant/bar which I like to use, not a huge vegetarian or vegan choice but what there is is good. Polish wines are very tasty. There are no in room drink making facilities but the reception will happily provide hot water on request. Breakfast is nothing fancy but its good old Polish style, not great for vegans but still won't starve (if you are catching a steam hauled service early in the morning in my experience they are happy to provide a packed breakfast if asked the day before).

Very good, basic Three Star hotel. Helpful staff, clean and comfortable room. Very reasonably priced. Good location 5 minutes walk from town.

    Nothing

I have used this hotel several times previously when I've visited Wolsztyn and its steam trains. It continues to be a comfortable, quiet, good value establishment. I enjoyed a good dinner with very decent wine and an excellent buffet breakfast. The reception staff organised a taxi for me at short notice when a temporary timetable change meant I couldn't leave by train and needed to make a connection some 30 km away.

nothing as such, but they should intervene to curtail noisy guests. it shouldn't be left up to the guests to do it themselves

very friendly people; good not great facilities; nice breakfast; very reasonable price. not much soundproofing, so get on with the neighbors.

10 minutes after check in we were told that we had to vacate our room because our dog Max weighed more than 10kg! In all my travels around Europe with a dog this has never happened to us before ie. that we were turned away on arrival. This was after our booking being made in good faith in advance and accepted by the hotel. We were told that we would need to make other arrangements. On the booking.com website it was stated that dogs were welcome and there was nothing about size, weight, breed or colour. Cannot say much about the hotel other than that the room was tiny-not enough room to swing a cat, although cats are probably also banned.
