Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNo breakfast opportunity on site but at the pub next door. However, only opened at 9 am, which was too late for us as we had to leave early. The train passes by from time to time. But it didn't bother at night.
The location is close to the castle and with a view of the castle. Perfect for when you spend a day at the castle and don't want to travel anymore. The accommodation was really clean and comfortable. Really enjoyed our stay. Nice little touches, such as water and cookies, make a difference. Thank you.

SwedenBeds on the second floor cannnot be called beds. There is so much space there - invest in real beds
Cozy, welcoming cottages, a wonderful playground and the location close to the castle. We enjoyed our one night there.

BelarusKitchen facilities are really poor: no dish-washing machine, washing machine as well, electric hob.
House (number 9) was fine. Very good location: close to Malbork castle. Stuff is really friendly. Comfortable area to have a relax, parking is near to house. Territory of Magnolia is closed for other tourists. Furniture inside is modern and clean.

SwedenThe only thing I can think of is that the beds were somewhat hard.
Except somewhat hard beds, everthing was great. Groundskeeper Pawel was very helpful. The halloween pumpkins outside, and the playground, were a nice addition (stay with kids in October). Clean. Amenities- fridge, air condition, tv, etc. Great view of the castle. Highly recommended for couples with kids.

PolandIf I had to pick one thing - there is no cooker. Even a portable burner would make a huge difference. There is a microwave, but it cannot make my coffee right. :)
Excellent location, great house - furnished with style, clean. There is a superb restaurant nearby.

United KingdomThis place REALLY has the potential to be excellent stay and I hope it will be. It is perfectly located opposite Malbork Castle with great views, the homes are big, clean and comfortable, the access is convenient....so why not 10/10 ? Well, because of the BUTs.... So what are those BUTs ? There is a jacuzzi on the porch which is available for additional fee, BUT.... the fee changed when we expressed interest in using it. Called owners on the first evening to ask how it works - was given price. Went to reception next morning to finalize it - price turned out to be much higher. There are bicycles available for guests, BUT.... there are no tools to. e.g. to adjust the seat on child bicycle - making them unusable. There are images of the little pond - BUT the pond belongs to the camping separated by the fence. You can still go there - but it is a long walk around and access is via parking. There is a restaurant available ( but my understaning is that this is a separate venue, just conveniently located next door so guest have easy access ), advertised as recommended by Magda Gessler ( kind of Polish version of Gordon Ramsey ) BUT she must have visited it during Covid when she lost her taste. The Speciality ( Pumkin Soup ) never metarialized but appeared on our bill, the Spaghetti Bolognese tasted only of garlic and was awful - and if my kids don't eat Spaghetti while being hungry after whole day of activities is the only review you need. There is a wifi BUT is very poor..... The night before we left there was a bottle of sparkling wine on our doorstep - I can only guess ( there was no note or message of any kind ) the owners left it there seeing we were not entirely happy. If that is the case I really appreciate it. This place could really be a perfect stay. I hope with few changes made ( e.g. just keep basic bike tools in a shed ! ) it will become one. I wish the owners all the best.
Location is fantastic, homes are spacious, clean and comfortable. It is quiet place, great for a families.

SwedenThe additional service fee to "prepare the jacuzzi " was ridiculously high and poorly communicated. 120 zl (25 euro) for them to warm up some dirty yellow water was crazy and almost half the price of a night's rental. There was no soap in the shower or sink despite the health warnings. There are no beds, just fold out sofas with no mattress and sheets which don't fit. There was also a lot of damage to cabinets stairs, bathroom etc. How this gets a 9 rating is beyond me. While the train stop is close it also means you get loud trains in your room all night. At best an 7.5 but a 6 due to rip off jacuzzi price.
The cabins are relatively new, decent construction, roomy and well ventilated. There was parking directly next to each cabin and additional parking on site. It was a short 10 minute walk to the back entrance to Malbork Castle and only 50 meters from the train stop direct to Gdansk, etc.
