How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

I had a wonderful experience at Hotel Maximum in Kraków. One of the best parts was its location; it’s just a 5-7 minute walk to the Old Town, which made exploring the area incredibly convenient. Being near the park that surrounds the Old Town was a great bonus, offering a peaceful place for quiet walks. I stayed in room 100 on the first floor, facing the back of the hotel (not the street), and my room had three beds, which were very comfortable. Initially, I was concerned about potential noise from the street due to some previous reviews. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that while I could hear the tram a little bit, it didn't bother me at all and didn't affect my stay. To me, this hotel felt like a hidden gem and it completely exceeded my expectations. It’s definitely a place I’d love to revisit. My stay was memorable, and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to experience the best of Kraków.

The bed wasnt too comfy and was only given one pillow. I did get another one after I asked but still not comfy.

Service person of breakfast not polite , making noise during serving and picking up plates from morning she was making your day not happy . Shower was very small . I booked double room but bed was not double bed .

Location is good and close to the city centre. Plenty of pub and restaurant to choose. Hotel employees attention is good, services and breakfast has a good relation quality-price.

Had a room street-side which is very noisy with the tram going by very frequently. Earplugs do the trick.

The hotel location is perfect if you are coming by train. Just a short walk from the train station. Everything else is close too. Breakfast was great, wide selection including smoked fish.

Lovely hotel 5mins walk to main square, breakfast was good for being continental set you up for the day. Rooms were large and spotless would definitely recommend this hotel, would return if back in Krakow.staff

Noise can be heard from the corridor if there are loud guests but it didn't bother me much.
Perfect location, great breakfast, very helpful staff and comfortable clean room. Some noise can be heard from the corridor if there are loud guests but not a big problem for me. The scrambled eggs at breakfast deserves a mention as they were perfect!

There were a group of teenagers staying in hotel the first night of our stay that made quite a bit of noise (slamming doors, yelling at each other, etc.). The hotel is tucked away in a building with several other tenants and has no sign at all that we ever saw. To find the hotel you must go by the address.
The location of the hotel, right outside the old town, was very convenient. It was about a 5 minute walk to the main old town square, and was still easy to get our rides (to Auschwitz and to the airport.) The breakfast was very good.

By and large a great stay, but one night there was another guest playing loud music late into the night. Not sure if the music was just loud or if the walls were a little thin.
Breakfast was fantastic. Clean and comfortable rooms/beds. Brilliant location - everything you need within walking distance.

There was nothing that I did not like.
Location was excellent walking distance to old town ,train station ,restaurants . Rooms were very comfortable and clean. Quiet environment and a courtyard garden to sit out. Breakfast was included in the price offering a varied choice of dishes. Staff courteous and helpful .
