How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Parking space was a major factor why we have chosen this place for stay. Yet I was told that there is no parking space after payment was made.

The beds are too small/narrow. I am very lean in build and I cant turn much. The breakfast was a bit disappointing for the price.

We rented the family room (6 beds): spacious, clean beds, clean towels etc... nice view of the city. I would just say that the location is not perfect, because it is not in the old town, but you can reach it by foot. Overall a great stay.

2 mins walk from krakow glowny train station.meininger is same concept in all countries. In krakow it was newly opened.breakfast is open buffet and good.

Nobody told me how to use the card to enter to the private parking. It is important to warn clients that the parking entrance is very narrow. A big car can be damaged easily.
It is clean, comfortable, nice smell, great location.

Small thing to improve: The room was very clean but there was one spot with some hair left. Anyway, on the second day I asked for cleaning and they didn't vacuum the bathroom from hair well.

I spent 3 days and the only complaint was a smoke that was coming from the AC which the staff informed a neighbour's barbecue the cause. But it was really annoying to sleep with a suffocating smell. My father had a bleeding nose because of it.
Everything was really clean and tidy. There's breakfast available and also a really good kitchen with all facilities to cook. Really well located with a tram station in front and a few steps for the old town.

great location, easy to reach city center. Employees were really helpful. Kids really loved bunk beds. Room was quiet. If you need parking you should check with with employee. You have to pay for parking

I did not like the way you trying to leave parking lot. Parking lot is of course a beautiful advantage but I tired too much for quitting from parking lot. I was driving station wagon car and too much effort to keep my car not to get any damage. Gate is Almost 90 degrees good for get in but bad for get out. That’s why I gave 9 point. You have to figure it out somehow mates, sorry!
Whole property and room was great. every employee of Meininger were great and helpful. 10 mins walk distance to the Cloth Hall and other main points. My experience was perfect and if I will come to Krakow again, I definitely choose Meininger.

So clean, comfortable, great location and such a fun environment. Stayed as a family in a private room with 2 beds and a bunk! It was perfect. Highly recommend!! We were also able to leave our luggage in a locked room while we wandered the old city, after we checked out, but before our next flight! Soooo helpful! Friendly and accommodating staff!! Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

The shower's design, for real it was a nightmare, no matter how hard you tried to avoid it, the water was leaking everywhere, took forever to mop it up after every use.
Great place, clean, with many amenities and facilities. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very well equipped shared kitchen. In close proximity to the Old Towns Square, but not in a noisy area.

Nothing everything was perfect
Very well isolated from the outside and the hotel Noise. The room facilities were perfect, temperature perfect and staff were so accommodating I would definitely recommend it !

My room was located at the street side so I could hear the traffic and tram.
It was a very clean, modern and efficient room. The staff was very friendly. I arrived before the check-in time but I could place my stuff in the luggage room before going into the city. I could take the train to the airport within 5 minutes walking.

There was a leak in our room and water came out through the ceiling so we was cleaning it.. we told the cleaners

Nth during this trip but I had one during my last stay where my macbook was stolen. Luckily it was found hence I had this trip down to collect it

There was an issue with one of the bed sheets but staff brought new ones immediately.
It is a good located, clean and comfortable hostel. Rooms are comfortable and wide enough to accommodate multiple people. Suitable if you are traveling with a child or elderly people.
