How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Beautiful hotel - room, lobby, restaurant all look nice and modern :) Very comfortable bed, big windows with beautiful view. Good bathroom with separate shower and bath. Tasty breakfast. Good and super tasty food in restaurant.

- I hoped for a room on a higher floor than 10th, on last visit it was on 17th for same booking. It's a small thing but made experience much better. - During check in there was a large crowd of people in the room and I felt like the check in was rushed. It was done very professionally and fast but I didn't feel like a customer, just a number. - During check in I booked breakfast for both days as I didn't do it on original booking - however the next morning at the restaurant entry point they did not have this information - which delayed the entry to the restaurant for us, and for few guests that came after which felt like could have been avoided by information being up to date.
Breakfast was great, location excellent, staff in bar and at check out was great. Room was very good and cleaning was amazing and unobtrusive. Really most of the things were really good. Aside from minor more personal preferences, there was no problems at all.

Breakfast was poor. I recommend adding couple of meals to order. They could have also offered slippers in bedroom.
That the bedroom was spacious and very clean.

It was a bit difficult to find the first time, but that is a minor criticism,
This is a great hotel, friendly staff and lovely accommodation. I loved the apartment I stayed in, which had everything. The breakfasts are really good, with a wide range - including a lot for vegetarians.

We arrived after a 16-hour flight, exhausted, with only one need—to sleep. However, the cleaning ladies in the hall were very noisy, disturbing my sleep so hard. The beds are comfortable in general - however, they were too narrow. Using an elevator with a room card is a bit difficult - you would need some time to figure it out; the personnel helped us.
The location is excellent—near the central railway station. We could check in a few hours earlier, and I appreciate that so much! Our room was spotless and stylish.

When the only thing you can mention is the… toilet paper quality could be a bit better, you can imagine how good the stay was.
Brand new, very well equipped and organized, wonderful staff, perfect location, impeccably clean, the most beautiful room view in Europe (if you like skyscrapers)

I found it a bit confusing that at a 4-star hotel, the TV had Netflix installed on it, but didn't work and I was told by reception if you want to use Netflix, you must use the hotspot of your phone.
The location was perfect! Right in the middle of everything. The buffet breakfast had such a great variety and all tasted incredible. Our room was super spacious and comfortable. Overall the hotel was stylish and really loved our stay.
