How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

In one of the showers the floor was sloping and very slippery.
Good location, very clean, spacious with high celling, well designed and inviting, double Window glass and double curtains.

Host was accommodating and friendly. Great location. Cleanliness is at the top of my list and I was pleasantly satisfied with this apartment, including bathrooms. It was also comfortable with 3 little kids and a baby.

One bathroom lock needs fixing but nothing at all to complain about, we worked around it.
What a fantastic apartment!! We loved the location, the facilities, everything was clean, and great communication from the owner. We hope to stay again sometime!!

We couldn't figure out how to turn the heat down. It was very hot in the apartment.

Location was very clean and large for Warsaw standards. Piotr our host went above the norm to accomodate my last minute change to our number of guest. Great job. Thank you

Bed sheets and pillows had a very bad odor and we had to wash them up again in order to sleep. Maybe the host has to proceed to a deep cleaning method

Collecting keys was a nightmare. Constantly rung the number and got engaged tone battery on phone then ran out. We were then stuck in Warsaw with no way to contact owner to get into the apartment. We were lucky we asked a polish lady to ring for us who got through and luckily the owner was only 2 minutes away. He maintained he sent us instructions on how to get in which we never got. Going forward the instructions need to be emailed the day before which should not be an issue as we had paid several days before the arrival date.

The wi fi was a bit in and out.
The location was excellent, near public transport links to all the sites. Near lots of restaurants and cafes. Small supermarket across the road with basics for breakfast.

Very nicely equipped apartment in the city centre. Everything is within walking distance. We were 6 people and there was plenty of space for everyone.

Great location. Amazing location. Fantastic for big families. We are a family of 6, 2 adults and 4 teens. We really appreciated the 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms plus washing machine. The whole apartment made our families visit much easier. Bonus small shop across the road and lots of restaurants near by.

Bed linen and towels had strange, unpleasant smell.
Spacious apartment, big enough for 6 people. Easy check in and check out, good communication with host. Good location, close to the center. Parking just by entrance. It is paid but not expensive.

Everything! The apartment was clean, well-equipped, beautifully furnished, spacious for an apartment, peaceful at night and perfectly located. Everything we needed was easily reachable by foot (attractions, sights, museums, old city, restaurants, etc,) - including both a Carrefour express and Zebka opposite. There are curtains in the bedrooms so you have light in the day, but aren't disturbed by sunrise if you are easily awoken by light. There is both a dishwasher AND a washing machine in the apartment. The fridge/freezer is large (some places only have a tiny fridge which can be annoying). If you are a group/family (especially with teenagers) - you will absolutely appreciate having two bathrooms! In addition, the check-in was super smooth and easy - Piotr sent clear directions with pictures how to access the building and access the key. He was also very helpful and quick to respond with questions, and helped arrange a taxi to the airport. Highly recommended!
