How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

we booked the free walking tour which was offered to us before arrival. unfortunately the tour was only in polish which we were not informed about. so we skipped that one.
Location was great, close to the old town and with nice bars and restaurants close by. staff was very helpful and always friendly. rooms were nice and very clean. free tea an coffee on the lobby was great especially during cold weather.

I like to have tea and coffee facilities in my room. However, there was free tea and coffee facilities available in reception

A printed google map of the streets from front desk would be appreciated
This new modern hotel was modern, stylish, compact, and clean. It was a small room but had every thing that I needed, even a small desk. The bed was comfortable. The bed was confer. There wasn’t a kettle or coffee maker in the room. But in the lobby, there was a 24 hour machine available that made expresso and teas. There was a wonderful restaurant on site that made the best creme brûlée that I have ever experienced in a restaurant. Perfection! There were luxury touches like floor to ceiling windows and opening windows to enjoy fresh air, Grohe hand held shower head, heated tile floors in the bathroom and wool throws. The locations was central Staff were helpful. Security was good

The beds in twin rooms are really narrow. Very small SINGLE beds. The glass of the bathroom is still a bit see through. This was a ridiculous idea and i do not know who came up with it. Adrian at the reception desk has issues with communication, both understanding what someone is saying and relaying information in a clear manner. No fridge in the room
The Location was excellent. Very central, close to a lot of restaurants and the old town. The street was quiet thought and the hotel was right next to the river. Breakfast options were very good for both vegetarians and meat eaters. There is a coffee machine in the lobby with free coffee!

The breakfast was 5 stars. The garden eatery was a wonderful addition. The staff was so helpful and friendly and location was great. Free bike hire and free yoga classes a massive bonus! HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable and quite hi-tech with everything controlled from a tablet. The location is excellent, just outside the centre so it was quiet at night but only a 5 minute walk from the main square. Also a free coffee machine!
