Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Germany1) Half pension isn't really breakfast+dinner, as dinner was from 4-6pm! So, we needed to come back earlier from the beach to be there on time to have dinner. But, on the other hand, it was a bit late around 9-10pm and we were hungry again, without any open place to eat in the surroundings, neither the resort has an open kitchen for small food/snacks. In summary, we not only missed an important beach time but as well we spent money on food for dinner. At least the food was good. 2) lack of cooling system/fans in the rooms: as we went in the summertime, guests struggled in the rooms during regular hot days as it didn't have either a fan/ventilator, or air conditioning system. We have seen some open doors from rooms at night so that people could release a bit of the high temperature from the room. 3) room's fridge (see picture attached): it isn't a fridge, but a very low-quality device that you can barely freeze something. It is just to store fruit or some juice - so don't expect to store real food there. 4) bed sheets (see picture attached): the bed sheets were shorter than the mattress! 5) extra cost for baby amusements (crib + towels): after setting up on Booking.com our needs (a family room for a couple + a child), we were requested additional fees for the crib when we arrived, as well as for a shower towel for the baby. Overall, an expensive place to stay for what it offers in comparison to real hotels, in my honest opinion as a guest.
The staff was very friendly, from the reception lady to the cleaning one, people from the restaurant etc. Parking slot for free in front of the property (as well on the street), but a paid one in the backyard if you want to (I haven't used it, though). Food was a big concern, but it went very well (and I am a picky person regarding quality): I am attaching some pictures of my dinner plates here. It is a buffet system; there are not many options, but it was more than reasonable for a non-veggie/vegan like me! Breakfast was not that awesome as it is a Polish one, which I am not a huge fan of, but as well there were cereals, some breads, and good coffee (no fruits, though). It was very close to city center by walking distance. Next to the place itself, the region is super calm, not commercial at all, and you don't hear any party noise or anything similar: one can sleep in peace even with open windows, which is great. The overall place is very clean as well, from the dormitory to the common areas. There is a small kids' room with MANY cool toys for the little ones; a sauna place we haven't used; a cozy reading area with some books; and a gym place. It is super family-friendly, as many guests were couples with kids. It is somehow a big but small place (small for a hotel, but big for a regular lodge). The noise level (I am usually very concerned of) was very good as we stayed in a room towards the end of the corridor, far from the elevator (btw, it has one so you can take your stuff up and down, which is great!). Maybe when it comes to the noise evaluation, I would recommend staying in a room a bit far from it. But I couldn't listen anything from other rooms. A great renovated bathroom, with a decent good warm shower (really good. The beds were comfy, with nice pillows, and the room space was more than enough. Tv working as it should, blackout curtains to darken the room, and a small fridge (check negative comments for this one).
