How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

We came 21:30 as agreed and confirmed by phone in advance, but noobody at reception, no answer on phone calls. Accidentaly we met a lady from staff leaving home, she gave us the info about where to find a room. Horrible beds, poor comfort

The room was not same as on the picture. Bed location in the room is terrible, under the steep roof. Tiny head space, climb to in and out. After the last dinner most of the people from our group get food poison. Also other guests. This is proved by doctor after arrived home.

There were four of us and we loved staying at that place. Clean, comfortable and in a nice location. The staff was kind and helpful. We really appreciated the warm attitude. It’s a great value for the price.

I stayed with my family for one night at the Hotel. At first we went to the Pensionat, which had made my reservation, but when we got there they informed us that our reservation was not there. Well, before I got the reservation, I had a lot of problems with waiting for answers, which always came very late. The room they gave us was the last one, on the top floor. With a 9 month old baby and a 5 year old it was exhausting. The room was unpleasant, as it was on the ceiling, we hit our heads all the time, the bathroom was not good, the door would not close. It wasn't comfortable at all. The lady who served breakfast was very polite but not what we expected. I believe, because we don't speak Polish, this made it very difficult. The ladies who didn't receive it didn't speak any English. Such a shame for such a popular tourist destination.
Only the friendliness of the lady who served us at the accommodation, but she didn't speak a word of English.

Beds and pillows were not so comfy.
The environment, the rom was clean and cozy, there is a beautiful landscape, river nearby, you can take for additional 30pln/per hour a sauna which is very nice. Staff is very friendly and pets are allowed.

I would not stay again. I booked 3 rooms and invited family and was embarressed by the standard. The rooms were very dated, spider webs in the corners. The room for 3 adults uncomfortably tight. The beds were singles pulled together with a large gap in between and the sheets and towels old/worn out. My room had a very unpleasant animal barn-like smell and although it was cold at night the heating was turned off. We had to checkin a bit later in the evening but when I called the facility to make sure someone would be there at 8pm to check us in, no one answered the phone or the message I sent via booking.com. Lack of communication was very stressful. I invited family and wasn’t sure we’d have a place to stay until we got there. Our names were on a list and the keys were in the doors - thank god! My feet were in water up to my ankles under the shower. There should be some basic info (contact phone number and wifi password) inside the room instead of some random place by the dining room which I found conpletely accidentally when I went searching for the source of loud annoying music playing in tge empty dining room (which was on the same floor as my 2 rooms). And lastly…. The breakfast - to say the least - dissapointing. There were oddly large bowls of cereal on the table and they were there all night uncovered. The coldcuts and cheese plates looked like someone just threw a few slices of whatever leftovers on them with a few slices of tomato and cucumber in brine - this did not look appealing. No fesh veggies, no fruit, no eggs, no espresso machine. By the time we finished stuffing our faces with bread because we had a full day of hiking ahead of us and there was nothing else on the table, in came a random plate of hot sausage without any condiments and of quite poor quality. I was embarressed I chose this place and spent the rest of the day apologizing to our guests.
