We liked everything! But people should be aware that some bathrooms are outside (under a roof and totally private). We loved taking outdoor showers, but if you want an indoor bath be sure to call and request it.

We loved our stay! The staff greeted us with a warm welcome and a short tour of the hotel. The small garden courtyards are magical, and each room or suite is decorated in a unique style—with character, not clutter. Be aware that the private bathrooms may be outdoors (with lovely modern plumbing!). The suites have terraces with hammocks and chairs. Tropical plants are everywhere. There are lots of thoughtful touches in the common areas—coffee, tea, and water stations, a communal kitchen, board games, beach equipment, even a bucket of sunscreen tubes. The breakfast is great, too. Neighborhood is chic and quiet—we listened to the fountains and the coqui frogs at night! The hotel is just one block from the gorgeous Ocean Beach, which is perfect for people who like to walk for miles on a long, clean, sandy beach. We will definitely be coming back!

The bed was not as comfortable as it could have been, and the room was pretty expensive. It would be great if all of the beds were king-sized.

The whole vibe was excellent. A beautiful space, surrounded by nature, and open air. Great service, great food. The outdoor area in the room was gorgeous, and we loved the open-air shower and bathroom. Happy to have a refrigerator. Great location for walking and a short trip to OSJ.

what a neat find... We booked last minute due to a glitch with a local air B n B. Had early morning(2am) check in and it was so nice. What an unusual and intriguing place. Wish we would have had more time to linger and actually enjoy the wonderful relaxing atmosphere. What a neat place to work so unusual and definitely NOT cookie cutter hotel. Loved the "make yourself at home feel". The water container concept is great.

Although the size of a couple homes, it seemed spacious. Lobby more like a communal space very inviting. Open air bath and hammock space great for listening to rain on roof (not actually a tin roof but like that)

You might need bug spray; there can be mosquitos which is no one’s fault, just a fact of living in nature

We absolutely love this place. The staff is charming, helpful, and knowledgeable, the property is stunningly designed and steps from a clean, sand-and-turquoise water beach, and our room was enormous. Dual shower heads and the indoor-outdoor bathroom made the experience unique and unforgettable. We will be back!

My mom, who stayed in a room with an outdoor bathroom, said some dew from overnight made the toilet damp, but overall she liked the room and experience.

The property is beautiful and unique. You feel like you are hidden away in a garden, yet you are just a short walk to the beach. The common spaces are very nice with several tables and places to relax. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. The rooms were cleaned and new beach towels were provided in the room each day. I would definitely go back and stay again. We also liked that the property was in a gated community and had plenty of safe street parking.

Site says "free parking" but the hotel has no parking. At the front desk, I asked and they said "the parking on the street is free." This is misleading and need to be corrected.

A delightful small hotel, with thoughtful design elements throughout and a beautiful walled garden in the middle of a dense suburban area. Room was very nicely decorated and enjoyed the attached "outdoor" shower (very private). Hotel is fairly distant from many San Juan attractions, but if you have a car, it works well. Also many restaurant are walkable in 10 minutes.

Breakfast was subpar for the rest of the experience. There are plenty of options in walking distance with better food.

So many plants, felt like we were in paradise. Beautiful deck with outdoor bathtub and showers, very nice spaces to hang out both in private as well as in common areas.

Our room A/C was not cooling properly. A few hours after check in we notified front desk and they quickly upgraded us to an available suite for the whole stay at no extra charge. We had an amazing stay. The place is in excellent location and very attentive personnel.

I absolutely loved this property. Hands down the most beautiful, relaxing stay I’ve ever been. The design and detail to relaxation has been executed so well that I was actually a bit in shock how nice it felt just to walk through the front doors. You enter through a lovely corridor lined with plants and come to courtyard filled with sounds of water and the smell of incense. We stayed in room 7 their most affordable room but felt as if we’d booked the best. All the rooms have private outdoor bathroom/patio areas which by far was the cherry on top. The common spaces make you feel like you’re at home or in a very peaceful safe space. Although it was all vegan options we felt no limitation with how tasty the meals were!

All the glowing reviews are true. This is a lovely, well-cared-for and curated boutique hotel. Lots of small details to make your stay memorable. Super friendly multi-lingual staff. One of the most comfortable beds that I've ever slept in. If this is in your budget range and you want to be near the beach in San Juan, this is an excellent choice.
