I should have done more research before booking a hotel that was 100+ years old. You can't flush paper down the toilet which was gross when not used to it. The view from the rooftop lounge was underwhelming.

The location was unbeatable. We were close to one of the best restaurants in San Juan and walking distance to excellent shopping and attractions. The 24-hour bar was a nice touch and the staff was very friendly.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Made me comfortable as soon as I arrived (so nice after hectic traveling). Great location. Inclusive drinks was a nice touch (and very convenient in the morning when I wanted tea or a Diet Coke).

Furniture in room is minimal and chintzy…e.g., one rusted out, $2 garage sale plastic chair, and two broken, $20 particleboard side tables…I’d expect a bit better from a refurbished hotel at $200/night Music in lobby was mostly super cheesy pop/club music, except for Jazz one evening. It’s strange to hear music that a 13-year-old girl would pick in an “adults only” hotel. Blaring teenybopper music at 6:30 am just doesn’t work

Very small rooms. Due to the amount of rain it was very damp. Not as clean as I am used to.

There's no pool.

I loved that they have an open bar for guests. The location in Old San Juan was perfect, walking distance to lots of shops and restaurants. I also like that they gave parking suggestions for me before my arrival.

The shower was very hard to get the right water temperature.

Very good service. Every one of the staff were friendly and helpful. The location for exploring Old San Juan could not be better. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The free bar is amazing. The rooftop is a great place to relax and look over the old city.

The bathroom was very small so that did not meet my expectations.

I absolutely loved staying here, the open bar is definitely a bonus. Everyone was very attentive and kudos to Cristian, he is very personable and friendly, my husband and I enjoyed our evening talks with him @ the bar, he definitely made my stay a lot more pleasant. The location was also great, you can walk to any restaurants, bars, stores etc. You really do not need a car.

The tiles were loose on the floor of my room, which could have caused one to trip. The bed was rickety and the mattress harder than I am used to.

Not something that we had an issue with but I wanted to give an example of how well the staff work to the disadvantage of no lifts. The property is old and only has stairs so the staff kindly took our bags up to our room.

The staff were incredible! So friendly and helpful. The location of the property was also incredible and the property itself had a nice terrace and area to sit at the open bar with other guests.

There's no elevator. This wasn't a problem for me, but if you have trouble with stairs, keep that in mind.

The hotel was conveniently located. It has been nicely decorated. The staff was very nice.

Rooms are a bit on the small size but the lobby makes up for it.

The price for the rooms was a little high considering that there was no elevator and no pool. The rooms were small, and the bathroom could have used a shelf to place toiletries onto.

The staff was amazing and super helpful. That drinks were included was especially nice. The rooftop deck was gorgeous and great way to end the evening. The location was perfect--right in the middle of old town.

The nature of the marble stairway is that it’s loud. There are a ton of signs posted encouraging people to keep it down and they do, for the most part. But the morning noise on those stairs is notable. The shampoo/conditioner dispensers in the bathroom seemed cheap. And while I appreciate efforts to save on single use plastic, I don’t know if those will hold up.

Loved the open bar and friendly atmosphere (from those employed at the hotel and other guests). My room was better than I expected. I anticipate they have to do a lot to maintain the rooms and it showed— looked like new paint and bathroom updates. The rooftop was also excellent. It was a great view of San Cristóbal and a great place to catch some more sun. The location also exceeded my expectations- perfect walking distance to everything in Old San Juan. Also LOVED that this place was adults only.

I can’t think of anything!

We loved the staff and the facilities provided. The rooftop was very fun and beautiful. Luis and Adriel were extremely helpful and pleasant throughout our stay!
