I booked it because of the cats, the peacock, and the location. Rooms were clean, I enjoyed petting one or two of the cats that were friendly. It was a nice location to beaches, good recommendations, Nick was very helpful and accommodating with us. They had informative emails messages before the stay and answered all my questions in a timely manner. I enjoyed seeing the peacock, Reno. We got a laugh when he squawked on the roof. We had a wonderful time. It was nice having a fridge in the common area to store our leftovers. I’d stay here again.

They are raising peacocks on the property. The male peacock is very loud and woke us up repeatedly. Also- at least 5 cats in the common are. Fun to see and interact with, but the cat hair was covering all the out door furniture, and we are very allergic. Plus the cat smell was strong- a male was marking its territory. The outdoor area could use a good cleaning.

The common kitchen area was nice. Fun to meet other guests and trade stories. We used the refrigerator and kitchen area for cooking. Worked out well. Rooms were clean and AC worked great! Well lit pathways at night was very appreciated after bio bay tours.

I was a little ambivalent about sharing plastic dishes with everyone without a really good way to clean them. And the aforementioned animals did occasionally climb on the table that we ate at. Having some cleanser cleanser to wipe the table down before we used it would be helpful. And while I found Shelley and Nick to be easy to talk to, I disliked having to go through the Booking app to reach them.

Very comfortable room and bathroom. Loved the outdoor kitchen. We were able to cook a full family meal there one night, and it was generally a pleasant place to hang out. The facility layout was pleasant and functional. The many animals were fun to be around— Reno the peacock was a crowd pleaser. Shelley and Nick were very helpful.

Nick was very helpful! There are five beautiful peacocks and eleven cats. Our room was cleaned daily, even when we forgot to clean the coffee pot one morning. They provide ear plugs! The balcony is huge and the air conditioning works wonders. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything we needed, including a grill which we used almost every night. The sun room has a small pool table, a dart board, and board games. The social spaces are great but you could also just keep to yourself if you wanted.

This is our home in Vieques! Nick and Shelly are the best! So are the cats, peacocks and a lot of local roaming animals. The location is between the two towns, and it’s very quiet and private. You have a small grocery store 2 minutes away from the house. We love it!

It was all good

Charming, relaxed atmosphere, in a typical Vieques neighborhood. The hosts are wonderful and very good resources for your stay on the island. The covered outdoor kitchen is a great place to cook and have a relaxing dinner surrounded by tropical vegetation, and peacocks. It is very quiet and peaceful, with the sounds of frogs and the occasional morning rooster.

I wish we could have stayed longer :) Breakfast would have been nice but we picked up some pastries & fruit from the grocery store and enjoyed it on the patio! Very convenient and delicious.

We loved our time at Isla Hermosa - in fact we wish we had stayed longer! Nick & Shelly were awesome hosts. They let us drop our bags, etc. in the sunroom before checkin and let us keep them there after checkout until we had to be at the airport. The outdoor shower was nice. The room was spacious & comfortable, we loved the patio. Local coffee was delicious. Out teenage kids loved the animals - cats, peafowl, horses, chickens! The location was very convenient, only a few minutes in the golf cart from everything we wanted to see. It was fun exploring the island. Don't miss the bioluminescent kayak trip, we went with JAK watersports & it was one of our favorite things we did. Highly recommend!

The hosts were outstanding! We truly enjoyed talking with them and hearing what they loved about their island, the area, etc. They were attentive and orderly, organized, and their place was such a great get away! The room was spotless, the details were spot on, and they even helped us celebrate our anniversary with a bottle of sparkling cider. We honestly couldn’t have found a better place to stay! Will be back!
