The weather? It was a bit rainy and windy while we were there which precluded some of our activities but noth8ng to do with the resort.

From the stunning location, the hosts, the luxurious surroundings, food, conversations- nothing could have made our stay better except maybe the weather. Patricia is an incredible cook, the breakfasts were healthy and delicious. We recommend this lodge highly.

EVERYTHING WAS MAGICAL! We could have not hope for a better place to stay in Vieques. The property is beautiful, the views are amazing. We had such a great time, it is a peaceful place - perfect to relax and recharge! Patricia and her husband are the nicest hosts. The breakfast served is delicious. Everything is home made and so tasty.

My wife and I were in dire need of some tranquility, and Lejos Eco Retreat was the perfect sanctuary we were searching for. Nestled atop an idyllic mountain setting away from the usual tourist trails, it was nonetheless a mere five-minute journey to the vibrant Esperanza beachfront and its array of eateries. Patricia and Phil welcomed us warmly, making us feel thoroughly at home and went out of their way to accommodate our needs. Breakfast became a highlight of our stay, a delightful affair crafted from homemade recipes and fresh produce picked straight from their garden. We left feeling immensely satisfied with our stay and enthusiastically recommend Lejos to any couple looking for a peaceful escape from the bustle of daily life.

I normally don't leave reviews unless the experience was exceptionally good or exceptionally bad. But I really wanted to leave one for this, as it was so spectacular and I hope this can help someone else to make the decision if they are on the fence. The property was spectacular. Every corner is beautiful yet cozy and charming. The small number of rooms/guests gives a feeling of luxurious privacy and allows for the appreciation of the surrounding nature. The owners' hospitality is 10/10 and their warmth and attentiveness was outstanding. I will never forget the night after I came back from the bio bay excursion and walked up the path to our container/room with only the noise of crickets and the whole night sky was so clear you could see the star constellations with the big tree at the top of the hill as the backdrop. Every morning we woke up to the sound of birds singing and Patricia's home made breakfasts which were honestly gourmet level. Overall, if you are looking for a little tropical escape and you like understated luxury and nature, this is it. The property is located in a gorgeous piece of well maintained land and the rooms and hospitality makes it a very comfortable stay. Do note you will need a car as property is located off the beaten path and up a hill. However, this is to be expected as otherwise you don't get to enjoy the quietness and pristine nature otherwise.

N/A - everything was great. I would recommend any visitor to rent a car as the roads on the island and to the property can be challenging for golf carts.

We had a wonderful stay at the Lejos Eco Resort and enjoyed everything. The Lejos team - especially Patricia and Phil - are excellent. The breakfast is homemade and delicious. The view from the containers is hard to beat. The property is located on what feels like the top of Vieques with a wonderful view of the island / ocean. We loved waking up each morning to the peaceful sounds of birds and gentle breeze. This stay was a highlight on our trip to Puerto Rico!

The property is beautiful. If you want peace and quiet, this is your place. We loved going to bed with the sound of nature and the wind blowing inside the room. The pool is nicely maintained and the breakfast just perfect. The owners are lovely. A great experience overall. We highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Vieques.

Lejos Eco Retreat is at the top of the mountain while being accessible and convenient to the two major towns, ferry and airport. The roads are mostly good and with a SUV we were able to travel to remote beaches and parks easily. Patricia and Phil are the absolute best host and will ensure a comfortable stay. Breakfast is included and was varied and delicious. We had a lot of luggage but still managed to find a place for everything. The salt water pool was a plus with mountain views of the ocean from the north and south.

Lejos Eco Retreat is a fantastic place to relax and enjoy beautiful view of Vieques Island. Patricia and Phill, whom are the owners, were very friendly, polite and made us feel very welcome at the place. The hotel was beyond our expectations, the pictures doesn’t make justice to the reality since the landscape was marvelous. Definitely is a place to escape from the city rush and routine. Also, I have to say that breakfast was amazing. I am looking forward to book my stay in the near future.

Beautiful location. Peaceful vibe and gorgeous panorama view of the ocean and surrounding hills. The owners, Phil and Patricia, are super nice folks. Phil is very personable and he has a lot of great stories of life in NYC and Austin TX as well as his former life on the road touring with bands. Patricia is an incredible hostess and she serves up a great breakfast every morning with fresh baked treats, delicious juices from their own fruit trees, some kind of savory fare like quiche or breakfast burritos and fantastic coffee. 👍

The road to Lejos is pretty bumpy (very common in Vieques), so be aware that you'll need to rent a real car and not the golf carts you see around the island if staying there. But I'd say you should rent a real car regardless because it's the only way of getting to many of the more remote beaches in Vieques, so it wasn't an issue for us.

Lejos is an amazing place to stay in Vieques. Patricia and Phil are phenomenal hosts that are excited to share the Island with their guests - they are not only super warm and committed to providing a great stay for their guests, but also very knowledgable of the island history and gave us great tips of places to visit, when to go places, restaurants, etc. Lejos is pretty central - 15 min drives to both Isabel and Esperanza; our room was great, the pool was lovely and the breakfast was amazing preapred mainly from local produce from Lejos itself. We will definitely being staying there again when we come back to Vieques.

Lejos exceeded our expectations. We go once a year to Vieques to disconnect and recharge and Lejos will definitely be our go to option for our stay. Patricia and Phil (the owners) run the property and are great hosts. Patricia’s culinary abilities are top. We loved the breakfast, specially the tortilla española. They are pet friendly. We were able to travel from puerto rico with our pet. 🙌🏼
