It’s a hostal, but I booked the private bedroom/bathroom. The owner should eliminate all those great/great grandpa’s heirlooms which give a sad vibe to the all ready old building. And should keep the good art on walls and nice original paintings they have inside the rooms. It’s 2 and 3 floors to get to. No comfy furniture around, but the firm mattress, 4 pillows and a couple small ones. Mr. Oscar is nice. And the other staff also. Remember to call the owner for the entrance code before arriving. That and the cameras makes it feel a safe place. Someone helped me with my luggage. Everything feels very clean!!!!! Air conditioning perfect, NETFLIX on, smart TV,,,,office fridge and microwave in private rooms. (Rumba) You’ll find organic eggs and an expresso machine (bring your coffee) for breakfast and Chef Boy Ar Dee to kill your hunger in a rush. Washing and drying machines for a price. Complete common kitchen and 3 whole common baths. Read the extras at ad. LOCATION near everything is their asset!!!!

This place is for those who can handle stairs and an hour informal setting.

The bed, made with quality sheets, was so comfortable and the room was clean with a ceiling fan and a/c!The tv, microwave and fridge were all nice additions. The location could not have been more central! Eddie is a great host, friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the funky, artsy nature of this accommodation.

It was *really* dirty. My room didn't have a window, only a skylight. You've gotta climb a lot of stairs!

It was a cool space, affordable, well located and a lot of character! The bed was comfortable and the fan and AC were strong. The en-suite bathroom was convenient.

Location, casual and eclectic atmosphere

The window above our bed was just wide open so we could hear everything in the city and it felt super unsafe. The bathroom had not been cleaned and it was just disgusting. We had to padlock the door there was no lock. It wasn’t a hotel it was an apartment with multiple rooms.

I liked the location and they had some cool stuff in the kitchen.

Worst experience I've had. No one was there, i saw the manager/owner twice the whole week I stayed there, no one was there. Room was dirty, uncomfortable, old, no doors. Honestly the worst.

Not very clean smelled musty very dusty and very run down, didn't feel safe had a padlock to lock our door.

Bed was comfortable ,location was great. Bottle of Lysol was in room.

The staff was super kind. Both Eddy and Oscar were always making sure that our stay was comfortable. The room and the bathroom were very clean and the hotel is well located.

The only complain was that the private bathroom is really small and it doesn't have a separation from the room (my partner and I had to leave the room when the other one went to do number two ...). The shared bathroom is clean, spacious and decent if you are not planning to rent a room with a private bath.

Location excellent in the heart of old San Juan. Staff great, the ambient is amazing.

It is in the middle of the city near to everything in Old San Juan. Easy to find the accommodation and nearly there is a huge parking garage.

If you are looking for a hotel this is not the place for you, the place is not perfect and that’s big part of the charm.

Everything is simple, easy and comfortable, since the reservation process to the communications and the stay experience. It’s a very modest place that really makes you feel like a local.

It was not really clean, the room looks much better on the pictures, the bathroom is quite simple and the shower is in the same small place as the toilet. Just be aware of that. At night it could be quite noisy, so bring earplugs if you sleep lightly. This might not for everyone, it's really more of hostel than an apartment.
