The walls in the room were full of dust. It was not very clear that you could get the towels to the pool from the gym, it needed more signals to know where to go or where is the ice. The housekeeping service was inconsistent, some days didn't leave water or chocolate, also toiletries. Some spaces under the cabinets were full of dust, the bathroom was not properly cleaned. The staff in the morning was super friendly, but at the same time, didn't communicate properly what was going on in the kitchen, like for example, one day the yogurt didn't have pineapple, and they brought a yogurt with berries instead (which was far more delicious than the pineapple one) and didn't inform us of the substitution. Of course the next day we asked to have the yogurt with berries and jam, and they said it didn't come that way, at the end we got some berries instead of pineapple but we didn't get that delicious yogurt we got that one time.

It was spacious, well designed and enjoyable to the eye. The receptionist and all employees that we had contact with were very friendly and willing to help and fulfill our needs. Great Location. Nice swimming pool on the rooftop.

we were out most of the day came back to a room that wasn’t touched by house keeping… complained please send someone and they dropped of coffee no towels and never touch the bed. complained the next day when asking for an extended late checkout, asking for 2:00. the answer was no! then we saw them cleaning the room at 5 whe we left for the airport. problem somewhere in the hotel!

The DJ on Saturday afternoon at the pool was way too loud. Music could be heard from blocks away. You had to go down the elevator, thru the lobby to the bar to get a drink, when you were at the pool on the roof. When you are paying this room rate you expect a waiter or bar at the pool and a little classier ambiance. But beautiful pool! The towel rack fell off the wall and was never fixed.

Location of hotel. Room was nice and opened onto the patio. restaurant and bar on site. pool on roof . We had problems with the safe and they came promptly to fix it.

a bit of a musty smell at times - but tons of humidity and old building so I’m sure that’s hard to avoid. we had to ask for replenishment of towels and TP- when maids did our room, they didn’t refill. seemed like they may have been running out?

Room could have been cleaner. It wasn’t gross, it was just clear that it was cleaned quickly without a lot of attention to detail. Some fingerprints, marks on wall, etc. We would still return.

The building was lovely. The courtyards were beautiful. The roof-top area was really enjoyable. Staff were helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable and spacious, especially for in old San Juan.

We changed rooms to a bigger room. Somehow it took 2 days of no room cleaning to get it finally cleaned. We did notify the desk each day of this, but for whatever reason, the staff didn't come and clean the room until we bypassed the desk staff and spoke with the manager. My guess is that the room change was the culprit. Due to the hotel being next to a government building, getting a cab or Uber is difficult at the hotel. You have to walk down the street to do so.

Would have liked more diversity in the hotels restaurant, but the staff was great and breakfast was good. Hotel prices of course, but that's to be expected.

breakfast was cold or at least toasts were cold and a few items were missing in the bathroom. I only had one towel, there was no lotion, and was missing the floor rug. I went out to one of the house keepers to get those items.

First room on the first floor had absolutely no sound proofing. It was if the persons on either side of the room were in your room. We moved to second floor for the rest of our stay and found it appreciatively better. Staff were very helpful.
