Our Room Toilet was full of used toilet paper on entering our room after we checked in. Lights in room difficult to locate in main bedroom area. Room was too cold, AC kept defaulting to 68F regardless of setting to 72F

Loved the location mins from the airport, the Hotel was a resort, beautiful pool beach and hot tub and exceptional in quality and luxury. Food proportions were Huge, but they offer a mini fridge and the to go option with reheating in the cafe if needed next day so no wastage. Pet friendly resort as well.

Gym had equipment in several stages of disrepair. Some did not work at all! Food prices and the inability to change some of the sides.

Not much to do, we need to Uber everywhere just to do things! The expense for the hotel was very expensive and the cost to Uber and go else where for entertainment was not what I wanted

The breakfast service was very very slow. And I'm very patient with realistic expectations and it was still way too slow.

Our stay at the Royal Sonesta was amazing. I love the umbrella service at the beach and the food at the beach restaurant was delicious. Will definitely be returning here!!

This is where you want to stay if you’re visiting San Juan. Beautiful beach that is more calm than Condado, short Uber right from Old San Juan whenever you want. If you’re debating where to stay, just book this. The property itself is as good as it gets for this area.

When we asked a young man at the front desk on Friday night about checking out late on Saturday, he said that was not possible, causing us a bit of concern about our plans on Saturday with a late flight that night. However, Nester took great care of us the following morning without issue. We were relieved and spent the day at the pool. Some of the younger staff seem to need a bit more training.

We loved our stay at the Royal Sonesta! The beach and pool are spectacular, but what stands out the most is the staff. From the front desk to the umbrella guys on the beach, everyone was extremely helpful and cheerful. Jenny, our poolside server, was so great we decided to spend our last day at the pool just to be taken care of by her excellent service. Housekeeping did an amazing job as well as all the servers we had for breakfast, on the beach, etc.

I wish Aleli would actually be open for dinner as well in the evening even though you can order their food from the pool bar.

The food wasn’t good at all I ate 3 different times at 2 different locations and I wasn’t happy. Also the pool bar service was very slow but the drink was good tho

The door man was very polite and helpful front desk people was friendly even the house keeper was nice and helpful. Also love the sound effects in the front entrance way. The jazz performer on Thursday night🔥🔥🔥🔥

Too crowded, long wait at reception desk and staff was not informative. Not too friendly. No greeting.

Pool was crowded, no clean towels. Music was good. Drinks at bar were weak.

Beautiful and very clean property in a great location 5 mins from airport. Lots of amenities (pool, pool bar, beach restaurant, spa etc) and lovely professional staff! Safe & walkable to CVS, mini supermarket, other hotels and restaurants and it has private beach access with free chairs , towels and umbrellas. 15-20 min cab or Uber ride to Old San Juan. Highly recommended!

We loved that it was on the beach. Staff were kind and extremely helpful. The drinks were so good. My daughter and I had too many virgin mango frozen drinks! So good! An overall great stay. And Thank you for the vegan options! Would love to see even more on the menu!

The bed was a little too firm for me and the pillows could be better. The resort fees were high for really what you get in return. The fitness equipment was dated and should be replaced, old iPhone adapter no one can use so at least take those bloody screens off the treadmills or elliptical machines… obscure the beautiful view of the beach. The price was really high for what we received back.

Beautiful setting, as the beach was less turbulent than further west along the coast towards Old San Juan. There are some sand gnats so bring or buy bug spray like we did… a drugstore is nearby. Staff are very professional and helpful. Our room, #812, was great. I didn’t eat at the restaurants but my wife and daughter did and liked them. There are a few restaurants nearby but not as many options further west towards Condado Beach area. Near the airport so only a 10-15 minute drive but still costs $25 by taxi.

So many positives... I don't know where to start... I loved the proximity of the pool and how easy it was to get to the beach from my room. The hotel staff was phenomenal - friendly, helpful, welcoming. The pool area was clean. It was nice to see some children playing and the other guests were so fun and friendly. The beach was perfect... on Saturday afternoon, there was live music being played on the beach. It was so refreshing to see people let loose and enjoy it. The breakfast that is included with the reservation is so much more than "continental breakfast" - it has stations of different foods (eggs, bacon, waffle station, fruit station, cereal station, pastries, etc.). If you wanted to order something special, it costs extra but I saw absolutely no need. The continental breakfast also includes one mimosa per guest. I, unfortunately, did not take advantage of the happy hour that is also included, however, the ambiance was festive but not too loud. the bartenders and servers were friendly. It really was a great place to decompress for a couple of days.
