Located in a semi busy street in town, so a bit noisy at night. Overall though, great value for what I paid. The staff also went above and beyond to welcome us and help when we needed it. We felt secure and safe.Would recommend if ine a budget! Very clean!

We stayed in the opal room…clean, perfect spot, perfect location, awesome room. Parking in the property was perfect.

it gets very noisy in the room that’s directly facing the street. You will hear every car passing by all night. Light sleepers should confirm that they’re not getting this room, but one in the back instead.

The light outside the second bedroom was on all night and made it difficult to sleep.

Great place to stay, clean and a wonderful value. When there was a city-wide power outage we were able to move to another property with a generator which was much appreciated. Overall we enjoyed the neighborhood and it met our needs.

We didn’t stay here for the beach, but it was still a bit of a dissapointment to find the nearest public beach literally and figuratively in the shade of a hoge gated community opposite the Emerald.

We love the layout and design of The Emerald, with its shared yard and kitchen. It looks friendly and authentic. Reminds me of my backpacking days, but cleaner and with all the amenities you need for a family of five.

A sliding type wall/door to the patio and bathroom is extremely heavy & hard to move, needs handles and track lubricant.

It was very noisy especially at night when we were trying to sleep. The kids also got bitten by mosquitoes. We applied off lotion but still got bitten a lot. So maybe installing screens will help?

Room was very spacious. Large TV. The property was near plenty of restaurants and a walk away to the beach.

All was good, but taller beach chairs would have been good.

The place was just perfect for us. We had the Pearl room which had 2 rooms - 1 for my husband and myself and one for my adult children. The rooms were clean, the beds super comfortable, the bathroom was spacious and had shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and soap. There were 2 big TVs in each room. We were a 2-3 block walk to the beach and there were beach chairs and an umbrella for our use. A nice shady hammock chair to sit in and read. A shared kitchen that was spotless and each room had a shelf to put food on. There are only 4 rooms total there, so sharing a kitchen was easy - only us and 1 other guest used it. A nice patio with a koi pond for sitting with 2 tables and chairs. Also a picnic table outside the kitchen. The neighborhood was fine and we could walk to whatever we needed: restaurants, Walgreen’s, groceries, bakery. It was a 10 minute Uber ride from the airport ($8 - $9) and Uber arrived quickly both leaving and arriving back at the airport. I would definitely stay here again.

The house is at good location. Two bedrooms and one bathroom are all pretty big. It also has a nice yard.

Outdoor courtyard connected studio to restroom with no screens so misquotes we’re an issue as there was not a fan in couch portion where kids slept. Door (8’ sliding wall) through courtyard to restroom couldn’t close well making late night bathroom trips difficult. Also this is in a busy area so the weekends were noisy up to 3am with motor cycles and loud music on Saturday

Very nice design of property with nice elements of a shared kitchen. Air conditioning was excellent and available kitchen utensils and appliances were excellent. The common kitchen again was a nice amenity. The staff were great, only they forgot to get us at first the gate code / room code for when we got in late and had to wait a few minutes. Would recommend this place.

It didn’t feel very clean. A bit run down and need for renovation. The whole family vas badly bitten by mosquitoes during the night. We checked out earlier than we had thought.

Too pricey for what it is. Run down furniture, uncomfortable bathroom sink space ( too deep and tall for doing your make up), not enough light, cold water in shower, hard bed mattress, dark room.

Suggetion: Could turn the light in the back of the room off at certain time at night.

Good space in both rooms, comfortably accommodate my party, bed super comfortable. Whole place very clean. Amenities such as shampoo, conditioner and body soap in the bathroom as well as bath and beach towels. Location is amazing, walking distance to the beach, restaurants, pharmacy. Owner made everything to make our stay the best experience and was super responsive even after my stay.

More ice trays or some form of ice machine

First I’d have to say that Gautam is hands down the best host. Very responsive! Private beach less than a 4 min walk. Walgreens at your convenience and the street it’s on turns into the main strip !!! The place was bigger than expected and we enjoyed the hammock on our “stay in “ day!! I highly recommend this location !

Loved everything!

Gautam’s accommodations at The Emerald were above and beyond my expectations. He generously allowed me an early check-in since my flight arrived early and also held my things for me since the check-in at my next place was after check-out time at The Emerald. He was attentive and quick to fix any issues that came up (all minor), and very helpful with questions I had about navigating in the area. I would definitely recommend staying here and would love to stay again during my next visit to Puerto Rico. I was also traveling alone and felt extremely safely here and in the neighborhood. Be sure to visit the Ocean Park beach which is super close walking distance! A lot of food places are walking distance or a short ride away as well. It’s a great location!
