Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GreeceWe spent actually half a day as a transit from Palestine to Jordan. The room is huge and very comfortable! It is located 10 minutes from the city centre where you can find restaurants and supermarkets. Also tourist and transit information as well as taxis to take you to the border terminal. The place offers a private entrance, so its completely private from the rest of the space. Mohammed our host was very welcoming and also helpful, with everything we asked. A plus is the very good wifi connection!

BrazilEverything perfect
Mohamed and his family were great. The place is very clean and comfortable. Everything I needed for a solo traveler. Air-conditioning was perfect due to the hot temperatures. I love it to stay in Jericho, the oldest city in the world, for three nights. The place is full of history and people are amazing. I love seeing the real life and how people live in a Palestine.

FranceThe studio is beside Mohammed's beautiful house and garden, very close to center (Good Shepherd's Church, Zachee sycomore, orthodox church, animated streets with bakery, Herod's Palace...), but the cable car and Temptation Mount are a bit further (approx 1,5 km). The studio is very clean and nice to stay in, despite there are no windows. The bathroom is very clean also and many details like beauty products, hair dryer, drying rack... show the hosts thinking about the best they can provide. Very interesting books about Holy Land, Hisham Palace and Jericho. So interesting that I took some pics of the one about Jericho. Mohammed is kind and very helpful for whatever you need, taxi, informations... His kids are cute, I didn't met Mrs. A wonderful cup of arabic tea mint was offered by Mohammed. Un très bon souvenir. I'll come back!

Italy-
Very cool place to stay, few minutes walking from the center of the beautiful city Jericho. Also easy to reach jericho cable car. Superclean apartment, Mohamed is super friendly (he speaks fluently italian), he helped me with a ride from st george monastery and gave me a lot of information on how to move in Jericho and things to do. I had e breakfast as well with delicious hummus! I had the opportunity to rent a bike and go to the baptismal site of jesus close to Jordan (20/30 minutes). If you like sport, not afraid to bike in the street with car passing by and you like to ride in the desert it can be cool (careful with the sun if it's too hot)! Thanks!

United KingdomI stayed in here March 2023 for one night. This apartment is in front of a family home and is a lovely spacious place to stay. There is a large lounge area with sofas, chairs, a coffee table, fridge, kettle, water and tea and coffee making facilities. There is a large TV which also has Netflix which is a great addition and fab for relaxing after a long day of sightseeing. Although at times Netflix doesn’t work. The bedroom is large with a single and a King bed, mirror, chairs, dressing table and various books. There are ample charging ports for your devices. There are also phone cables for iPhone and android. The bathroom is large with a shower, toiletries, toilet, bidet and hairdryer. The shower was hard to control with either very hot water or very cold, I found it hard to get a consistent warm temperature. The WiFi didn’t work very well on my devices, it would work for a while and then cut out. The location is good with old Jericho around 10 minutes walk away. There is a mini supermarket around the corner to buy goods and also restaurants. A lovely place to stay and relax, with a warm friendly owner who is happy to assist in anyway by WhatsApp. The whole apartment has lots of small touches which make it feel more homely.

The airbnb was great, it met all the necessities required. However booking with Muhammad alone was worth it. He made our stay in Jericho extremely pleasant. His guidance on siteseeing and dropping us off at the bus stop area (we were so confused as to how to get to our next destination) and throughly explaining the routes made our experience that much better. He went above and beyond to help us. Thank you for making our trip to Jericho so pleasant ! Your city is filled with rich history and wonderful kind people ! We are so glad to have included it in our itinerary. I just wish we could have stayed longer ! Love from Canada Cindy & James

MalaysiaVery comfortable place. Muhammad works with the local government. He was helpful in advice and making arrangements for taxis with fair prices. The rooms were huge with Netflix. His mother and children were very sweet, delivering breakfast when you wanted it etc. The place is close to the sites, cable car and Hisham palace etc. I had a lovely visit to the dead sea and muh. arranged for sharing the taxi costs with another tourist. Jericho is very interesting with so much history and amazing desert scenery around the area. I wish I could have stayed 1 or 2 days longer, experienced more.

United StatesEarly morning pray sound is not too bad and cannot be avoided.
The location is walk distance to center yet in quiet street, and gated. The owner Muhammad is very nice young man, message response very quickly. He provided us a lot of information including sites opening hours, travel from board crossing and also from Jericho to Jerusalem transportation choices. Without his help we may skip Jericho trip. He also sent us to Almog Junction with very reasonable fee and stay until the bus coming. He can speak English and gave us Jericho insight.
