There are two ways to get here. One is a winding road in the neighborhood--take that one. The other road is the steepest road I have ever seen! Don't take that one--it was tough to walk--much less drive.

Every staff member was so kind and welcoming, the breakfast was delicious, the view from this hotel is beautiful, and the room was fancy but yet still very cozy.

The house itself, the property and restaurant are very nice. Dinner was amazing! Everything is new, the hotel is fresh and tidy! Also the Christmas tree decoration was very warming. Room is just enough and the welcoming hand-written letter is something I really appreciate!

loved the beds! Slept so comfortably. Very quiet and relaxing. The pool and the view from it were spectacular. Loved that it felt like we were out away from the bustle of the city. Everyone who works here was so kind. Shoutout to V, makes the best mojitos and best salmon sandwiches!! Also gave us great hike and beach recommendations as well! We had the best time and will definitely be back

The nearest little town (Ponta do Sol) is a drive away, you can't easily walk there.

Welcoming staff, nothing was too much trouble. Great breakfast and we had a gorgeous evening meal too.

Beautiful hotel situated near to Ponta do Sol. We loved the breakfast and the dinner service - the food was excellent and was complimented by a good range of affordably priced Portuguese wines. The staff were uniformly approachable, friendly and helpful.

The only downside is the car park which is pretty tight to get into, but there is an ‘overflow’ one just down the road which is easier.

A stunning house, beautifully restored and decorated. A gorgeous location with views out to sea. Delicious food - breakfast was the right amount and the dinner was high quality. It was nice to see some alternative options on the menu, different to the local restaurants. Restaurant staff were charming. The room was beautiful - classic decor creating a very romantic vibe. The balcony although small was the cherry on the cake!

My room only had a tiny window high up, fortunately I don't spend much time in the room other than sleep so I didn't mind too much. The bathroom has a lovely large window with a nice view. Aside from 3 restaurants at the bottom of the mountain and a small beach there is nothing else within walking distance.

Small quiet hotel with friendly staff. Nice view, gorgeous building and very delicious breakfast. The staff were friendly and helpful. The poolside is a great place for a pre-dinner cocktail.

my only criticism is that the rooms are very small but the good quality helped to compensate for that fact -

let me think ........ i cannot find anything. The location and staff exceeded all our expectations. The staff in particular succeeded in giving us that feeling of "being at home, away from home.

We arrived late at night, due to the plane's late arrival. Having notified the staff, they gave us a detailed explanation how to enter the premises after hours. Allthough we did not expect it, a late evening snack had been provided in our room, which was quite welcome. Next day we got treated on an excellent combination of buffet style breakfast and table service in a wonderful setting. Do not go to the trouble of looking to find somewhere to eat the first days of your stay as the hotel's chef is really set up to provide you with delicious meals and treats.

Fantastic location, overlooking the water and banana farms below. The property is a gorgeous historic home converted to a boutique hotel. Friendly staff and excellent food. Would 100% return again!

You definitely need a car because it's difficult to do anything without one in that area.

The hotel is beautiful with stunning views. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant offered a lovely breakfast and dinner.
