the floor is making a lot of noise, you can literally hear it when people in the adjacent room walk around, also a lot of noise from the patio and you can even hear sounds from the bathroom into the room..

Its noisy. Door lock needs card to be "quiet" ,and you got only one card for two ppl room. Kitchen on the morning can be crowded but space is well organised.

Well organized space. Really helpful and nice stuff! Clean. Good place to stay on Funchal for few nights. Nice outdoor space to spend evenings or to eat meals. Good bed. BEST hostel ive been.

On the day of my arrival I had problems with getting in touch with the hostel staff regarding my self check in. The provided phone number on the main site of the hostel is a land line phone so I couldn’t send a message (it was Sunday evening), in the end I got the instructions and I could easily check in, but since it was my first solo trip it was quite stressful. The old wooden floor is beautiful but also very loud.

It wasn't possible to open a window in the room. If you're a light sleeper, this hostel is not for you. The stairs and floors are made of beautiful wood. But it is very noisy.

Since it is a hostel, it depends on the other guests' behaviour how well you will sleep. In our case we had loud noises throughout the night and really early in the morning. Rooms are absolutely not soundproof. Only 2 toilets and 2 showers for all guests which can be 16 if I did the match correctly.

Seemed too expensive for the room with a shared bathroom. Its pretty noisy when someone walks by the room in the hall so that you can wake up.

Very loud squeaky floors , bunk ladder was kinda hard to use. I fell off twice, small bathrooms one floor down, small kitchen.

That would probably more convenient to have the bathroom on the same floor with the room, but it's just a result of the construction of the building, it wasn't too inconvenient as well as everything was close. You can hear your neighbours quite well, but it's also very common for Portugal and hasn't spoiled the overall impression. Would stay here again!

Very good location (almost flat road to the city center, which is important and rare for Madeira). Stylish apartments with well-equipped kitchen (you can find even a big pack of shared wine there), clean toilets (with paper napkins for hands, so you don't have to take a towel from the room), shared terrace outside. Good temperature inside in February. Good communication with the hoster, easy check-in (at 18:00 the reception was closed, but we had received the codes and even a paper letter for self check-in). The hoster was also so nice not to take the payment for the parking, which was booked but not needed in the end. The hoster also let us leave the luggage after check-out.

The wood floors in the rooms creak and you can hear someone walking even in the next room. There is no a/c which maybe a problem in summer months.

2nd floor was so creaky! Only 2 toilets and showers to share

Beautiful building, great location. Beds were solid with curtains for the bottom bunks, plenty of space in the rooms with a lockable drawer each under the beds. Kitchen was a good size and patio was nice. Very clean. Staff were very friendly.
